PROFESSIONAL ANIMAL WORKERS PAWS DORS Workforce & Technology Center PAWS Professional Animal Workers (PAWS) is a partnership with the Community College of Balmore County (CCBC) that prepares individuals with disabilies to work in shelters and kennels, veterinary offices and hospitals, doggie daycare centers, independent pet and grooming shops and retail pet stores. This 10- week program includes classroom and on-the-job training and is taught by a CCBC instructor. TRAINING INCLUDES: Animal First Aid and CPR Cerficaons. Computer literacy and basic office skills. Basic animal care skills – feeding, watering, grooming, bathing, exercising and cage cleaning. Off-campus internship. PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS: 6th-grade reading level. High school diploma/GED preferred. Ability to remain calm in high-stress situaons. Ability and desire to work with animals. Ability to liſt up to 40 pounds. DORS Workforce & Technology Center

PAWS Professional Animal Workers (PAWS) is a partnership with the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) that prepares individuals with disabilities to work in shelters and kennels, veterinary offices and hospitals, doggie daycare centers, independent pet and grooming shops and retail pet stores.
