NAS and storage array based snapshot backup for off host zero downtime
and zero load on the primary backup client with wizard based configuration
10
Backup Solution must support multi tenanry feature for creation of distinct
data zones where the end users have access without being able to view
data, backups, recoveries, or modify in other data zones.
11The proposed backup software should support restore a single VM, single
file from a VM restore from the same management console for ease of use.
L2
fne proposed solution should have inbuilt feature for extensive alerting and
reporting with pre-configured and customizable formats. The proposed
solution must have capability to do trend analysis for capacity planning of
backup environment not limiting to Backup Application/Clients, Virtual
Environment, Replication etc.
13
The proposed backup software should support deployment in public, private
and hosted clouds. The backed up data written to cloud volumes should flow
directly from Clients to cloud storage without intervention of media server
in data path. The Clients writing to cloud storage using the proposed backup
software should have source based deduplication, compression and

Proposed solution should support heterogeneous platforms that include ESXI/Hyper V and next generation containers either independently or concurrentlyon the same cluster
4The solution should provide software based storage services on serverhardware available from leading server vendors in the industry. lt shouldsupport all flash configurations on the server
5The proposed solution must have capability to support nodes withsame/different CPU & Memory configurations in the same cluster.
6
The proposed solution independently scale storage and compute as and whenneeded without any downtime. HClshould supportstorage expansion and compute expansion to extend storage/compute capacityas and when needed without extra cost for licenses
7 Hardware and Software support to be from the same, single OEM
8Solution should provide the flexibility to either combine the compute andstorage functions on the same hardware. lrrespective of the mode ofdeployment, the cluster should be managed using a single GUI
9Proposed solution should ensure best performance by leveraging all the drivesin the cf uste r tsr l/O and not depend on the locality of data
10Proposed solution should optimize the storage capacity consumption withoutcreating independent workload islands within a single cluster
tIA copy of the data is to be maintained at alltimes within a cluster anddistributed in such a way that the cluster can withstand a disk drive or a nodefailure
T2ln the event of a node/disk failure, the system should initiate copy creation ofdata in the free space without requiring a spare node/disk
13Proposed HCI solution should support fault tolerance of at least two nodesfailure within a cluster
