Project description‘World without borders’ is a national social project that aims activating leadership among Ukrainian youth by:
• giving them an opportunity to interact with students from all around the world;• giving knowledge about leadership,
youth activities in other countries, cultural education;•giving an opportunity to create their
own projects to make positive impact on their local society.
Job description• Project is based on work with children from summer camps & schools. Usually there are few age groups of children in summer camps (mostly 7-10 years, 11-13 year & 14-17 years)
• To show the foreign country through presenting national traditions, food, history, national clothes. The main goals of country presentation are to show the variety of world's cultures and to share the idea of cultural, religious tolerance
Job description• To run trainings on the relevant global and local topics (CSR, Ecology, Energy, Citizenship) in order to raise the awareness of young Ukrainians about positive impact they can make
• To run trainings, working groups, brainstorming to help pupils and students to identify their values, strengths and weaknesses, personal and professional goals. Develop pupils potential with the help of different psychological tools, which help to make the choice of future profession
Job description
• To organize trainings, brainstorming, learning circles with students the main idea of these events is to share the notion of leadership, proactive behaviors
• To participate in the cultural events organized by host local committee (for example Global village)
Requirements
• Excellent English • Good presentation skills
• Cultural tolerance & flexibility• Teamwork experience
• Training/facilitation skills preferred
Internship conditions
Duration : 6-9 weeksRealization: Middle of December- end
of JanuaryEnd of January – March
Working days: Monday-Friday , Saturday working sometimes
Accommodations & food (2 times per day) are covered
Possible accommodation types
Hosting familiesIn this case accommodation is provided by Ukrainian family. Intern shares room with the person of the same gender as intern. Main advantage of the host family is opportunity to explore & see everyday life of Ukrainians, Ukrainian culture. But from the other side intern should be flexible & adopt to internal family rules (for example letting know family about coming back time etc.)
Possible accommodation types
Students’ dormitoriesPlace were live students of Ukrainian universities & collages, that located mostly in the city. Intern shares room with around 3 other interns. Toilet & bathroom sometimes are common for a few rooms. Dormitories have some living regulations. Usually they are closed from 10 p.m. till 6 a.m.
Possible accommodation types
Interns’ flatSometimes LC rents a flat for interns. It size depends on number of interns. Mostly 4 people live in one room.
