The Central and Eastern European Regional Working
Group is a regional cooperation project:

in 10 CEE countries

2. Towards a regional portal concept
2.1. Brief History:
Regional group idea – born in 2009 (INFOFEST - Budva, Montenegro)
Regional portal project – formulated in 2010 (“SEE Ministerial Summit on Digital Dividend" - Belgrade, Serbia), including the idea of one person from each country to operate the portal
Kick-off meeting of the CEE Regional Working Group – held in May 2011 (Radio Spectrum Strategies International Conference- Bucharest, Romania):
Group Working Methods - established the portal functionalities - defined ANCOM undertook to develop website and ensure Secretariat www.ceeregionalworkinggroup.net – first version of the regional portal

Initially designed to address Digital Dividend coordination issues, CEERWG and the regional portal have grown to foster:
•best practice sharing;•exchange of ideas on further electronic communications issues;•one-stop-shop for telecom information on regulatory and market developments in the CEE;•collaboration with/within international organisations.
Technicalities: develop new functionalities - based on future
requirements;
