What is the Gospel? Gospel means “Good News”. But what

was the good news the disciples taught???

“ But when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized. ” (Acts 8:12)

“ Then Paul . . . received all who came to him, preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence . . .” (Acts 28:30-31)

The Kingdom of God was taught by

Christ“ And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the Gospel of the kingdom . . .” (Matthew 9:35)

“ And it happened afterwards, He travelled in every city and village, proclaiming and announcing the Gospel of the kingdom of God. ” (Luke 8:1)

The Kingdom of God was

The Kingdom of God cannot be

the Church“ Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God ” (1 Corinthians 15:50)

Jesus Christ the King

“He (Jesus) will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.” (Luke 20:31-33)

Pontious Pilate asked Jesus: “ Are you a king then? Jesus answered, You say rightly that I am a king. For this reason I was born . . . ” (John 18:37)

Peace in God’s Kingdom

“ He shall judge between many peoples, and rebuke strong nations afar off; they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. ” (Micah 4:3)

Mortals live much longer
