Dear colleagues,
I hope you all had a fantastic Easter holiday break.
As you certainly experience every day, the Life Science world is changing significantly. There is a huge transformation
going on from disease to health management. Biotech startups are acquired by big pharma companies (ex. Ablynx has
been acquired by Sanofi), Scientists are collaborating closely with engineers and IT experts. Together they let the business
grow by transforming and innovating.
"Perform, Transform, Innovate"… That is what the Adecco Group worldwide is also doing.
"Grow together", that is the new motto of The Adecco Group for the coming years.
The future belongs to those who:

Fuel collaboration
The first transformation has already started. The Adecco Group launched last week 1 global brand for professional
solutions: MODIS, Global leader in IT, Engineering and Life Sciences professional solutions.
In the future you, Life Sciences experts, will have IT enablers and innovative engineers as colleagues.
Modis has already a worldwide fame in IT and the addition of our Engineering and Life Sciences business will open doors
to clients who operate at an international level and would like to work with an international party to organize the deployment
of professionals and to manage projects.
The merge of 3 our specialties IT, Engineering and Life Sciences under one umbrella - Modis - will also create extra
opportunities for you. We will have the power of 1 brand at an international scale which will result in a bigger variety of
projects. This global approach will leverage also your personal development and growth and you will be able to learn from
the other specialties.
You will see a lot about Modis on social media the coming months. It has already started last week with the announcement
of the partnership with the Formula E competition, similar to Formula 1 but with Electric cars.
Today, in Belgium, we still operate under the brand XPE Pharma & Science. The re-branding to Modis Life Sciences will
start in the last months of 2018 and be effective as of 2019. Of course, we will keep you up-to-date about all re-branding
initiatives happening in the coming months. But, until then, we will keep using the brand XPE Pharma & Science.
I am very excited about the re-branding and I hope that you will feel the same excitement in the coming months.

Let’s share our success stories!
Wow, what a busy and exciting start of 2018 for Xpe Medical!
Our team travelled all over Belgium to participate in several
major healthcare events.
We had the opportunity to learn a lot and to meet many
passionate and exciting people (students, teachers, nurses,
companies, etc). It was really rewarding!
We very like that so we continue this: go to Mons on the 26th
of April to meet the emergency nurses ;-)

Coca-Cola : our XPE team in the R&D department
"Hi! Welcome to the story of our journey as XPE contractors at The Coca-Cola Company!
Here is our story:
In order to deliver those products to consumers, a diverse multidisciplinary team is needed. This is where our
mission begins:
- Some of us are working in the Product Development team, they are those “crazy” scientists in the lab playing with
ingredients and trying to make the best products ever.
- Some of us are working in the Packaging team, designing the best package ever to make the products appealing
for consumers on the market.
- Some are working in the Sensory team, they are the nose, the eye, the touch, the ear and the mouth scientists,
helping the product development team to create THE products. They are also in charge to validate the new products
with consumers.
- Some are working in the Stability team, they are the shelf-life scientists, playing with the temperature, the
illumination and the aging of the products.
- Some are in charge of approving and integrate ingredients and acquisition projects, without them, products can’t be
legally on the market!
- Some are working in the Pilot Plant team, they are the last link in the chain, producing huge quantity of products for
consumer’s validation. Without them, consumers would not be able to taste the products developed in the Lab by the
“crazy” scientists.
- And finally, some are in charge of the labs, paying attention to the need of everybody and the development of the
products in good conditions.
Our strength? Be connected to each other even if we are not part of the same team.
We hope to welcome more XPE contractors to experiment our daily work life! "

Breaking news: At the time this article was written, we welcomed 3 new contractors at Coca-Cola! Welcome

We are 12 young workers coming from
all around the world (France, Spain,
India, Venezuela, Romania, Morocco
and of course Belgium!) with one goal:
To deliver products that consumers will
like!
For that, The Coca-Cola Company has
built a R&D center (not for us but for the
consumers :-) ) at Anderlecht, Brussels
to cover the Europe, Middle East and
Africa region which gather 120 countries
and resulting in 300 to 400 new

Rudy - Talent Manager" Hi,
I’m Rudy Van den Borre. My passion is taking care of people, helping people,
supporting others, my drive and life too therefore I became a nurse.
Thoughmy passion evolved and now I am, next to taking care of others, also passionate
about communication.
After some years in medical device and pharma as a contractor, I finally found my true
vocation at XPE pharma as a Talent Manager.

Lynn is back from parental leave
since mid-April.
Aside from taking care of her son
Finn and daughter Liss, she’s
supporting all Talents from GSK,
BPO, MSD and J&J.
Jonas Dewulf
Jonas is responsible for all Talents
working at Pfizer, P&G and for our project
nurses at different clients.
Katrien Daneel
Katrien looks after the Talents working at VSM, AB Inbev, Coca-Cola and all other XPE P&S clients.
For the ones who don’t know her yet. Katrien joined us in October last year:
"I’m Katrien Daneel. I studied Business Administration and have been working as management
assistant for different companies.
After 15 years at Pfizer Puurs, I was ready for a new challenge which I found at XPE Business Support.
I have a boyfriend and a cat to pamper. My favourite place to be is Bruges. I am a huge fan of the best
team ever : Club Brugge.
I also like travelling and meeting people from different countries and on Saturday I love to go walking
with the shelter dogs."
I love cooking and entertaining my friends. I adore sweets, and am crazy about my mom’s mattentaart (a specialty from
her home town Geraardsbergen), a real treat that some of my colleagues already had the pleasure to enjoy.
To compensate all those calories I tend to hit the road on my bike as soon as the sun appears or enjoy a long walk along
the river nearby or the Belgian coast."

Our new Ambassadors for Belgium is Melissa Vanthienen!
Melissa has been working as Sales Support Officer at Adecco since May
2017. Three years ago, Melissa decided to change her lifestyle, to start doing
sports and eating healthier.
Since then Melissa has become a real 'sports addict' and now she would like
to inspire and motivate others to move regularly.
Be the Win4Youth Ambassador will be real adventure and she will share this
great experience with us on social media. We are looking forward to follow
her!
New Ambassadors Win4Youth 2018
Katleen Vangodtsenhoven was the Win4Youth Ambassador 2017.
she is a colleague who got the chance to become one of the 5
Win4Youth Alumni. She has been working at Adecco since 2009 and
she is currently part of the Learning & Development Team as Senior
L&D Consultant.
Win4Youth has already won a lot of hearts - Katleen's too - and she is
already excited to live the experience again.
Both Melissa and Katleen will participate in the Win4Youth bootcamp in
Ghent from 17 on 20 May. Afterwards, they will fully dedicate
themselves to prepare for their participation in the legendary Win4Youth
triathlon taking place in Lanzarote on Saturday, 27 October.

The global team of Win4Youth is now working to offer you the best packages for the main event in Lanzarote. All
packages will be available as from on 20 May on the occasion of the Kick Off camp in Belgium. There will be an 'Athlete
Package' for 250 euros which will be including a registration number for the Lanzarote Triathlon, a Win4Youth tri-suit and
