KG1 Weekly Newsletter May 7th-11th, 2017 Dear Parents: This week your child will learn: In English: Theme: “Going Places”. Songs: “Do you like to ride?” Review letters: Qq, Kk, Uu, Ww, and Ii Review all vocabulary words. In Math: Review Numbers 1-20 Review: All shapes, colors, opposites, and Patterns. Counting 1-20. Classify by shape, color and size. Reminders For Parents: School time is from 7:15 AM-1:00 PM. Please make sure that your child gets 10 hours of sleep each night. Please send a healthy lunch for your child daily. The girls need to wear pants during P.E. and have their hair tied back. I Pads Applications are being used in classes. You may help your child at home to use these I Pads applications e.g. (ABC Train, Paint Sparkle, Trace and Draw and Elmo ABCs). Students are going to leave at 11:30 every Thursday. Aftercare dismissal will be from Pre k –A classroom in the girls’ playground. “Children learn as they play. More importantly in play, children learn how to learn.”……….O. Fred Donaldson.
