Note felling Phases and roading proposals to be determined by a detailed site plan. Impacts on plan: Slope stability & maintaining the resilience of transport networks is a key consideration in terms of felling phasing, restructuring & woodland expansion. CCF options are limited. Felling phase options are constrained by past restructuring. Alternative routes should be developed to reduce timber transport impacting on Succoth. Proposed new quarry site. While the forest is generally well roaded, the limited availability of hard rock as a running surface is a limiting factor. EIA determination in place. Slopes & rocky terrain pose a challenge for harvesting, limit silvicultural options in terms of CCF & can pose a potential hazard for road users. Harvesting activity and associated restructuring in the past has been dispersed across the forest, and this past management impacts in terms of limiting the options available for future harvesting. Forest area carrying mature timber with slopestability issues, and potential impacts on the A83.Note felling Phases and roading proposals to bedetermined by a detailed site plan.

Impacts on plan:Slope stability & maintaining the resilience of transportnetworks is a key consideration in terms of fellingphasing, restructuring & woodland expansion.CCF options are limited.Felling phase options are constrained by pastrestructuring.Alternative routes should be developed to reducetimber transport impacting on Succoth.

Proposed new quarry site. While the forest isgenerally well roaded, the limited availability ofhard rock as a running surface is a limitingfactor. EIA determination in place.

The main mountain access routes and theCobbler path are largely separated from timberhaul routes, but other recreational routes often runalong the existing haul roads.

Slopes & rocky terrain pose a challenge for harvesting, limit silvicultural options in terms of CCF & can pose apotential hazard for road users.

Harvesting activity and associated restructuring in the pasthas been dispersed across the forest, and this pastmanagement impacts in terms of limiting the options availablefor future harvesting. This means that there are limited optionsfor spatially sequential felling phasing to reduce roading &maintenance costs.

The proposed road linkage withCruach Tarbeirt Forest presents theopportunity to reduce haulage impactson Succoth and to increase theresilience of the forest road network.

Area where road constructionmay be required post 2026.
