Usage of Xceed™ Meter





Calibration

• Insert Calibrator• Meter will switch on automatically

• Wait for the meter to be calibrated

• Remove calibrator and calibration is done



Usage of test strip

• Hold on to the strip

•Open the Test Strip by tearing at the side of the foil

•Insert the test strip into the meter



Blood Sample Collection

• Use Abbott Single Fire Lancing Device

• Clean with Alcohol Swap• Await site to be dry

• Warm and rub the site• Let the arm hang down for punctures on the hand

• Use side of the finger. Avoid pricking at the finger tip• Clean the first drop of blood sample

• Apply to test strip immediately• Squeeze gently for the second drop of blood

Glucose meter: Test at least 3 - 6 times a week

• Aim for testing at least 3 - 6 times a week

• Pre-meal glucose at 6.1mmol/l to 8.0mmol/l

• 2 hrs post meal glucose at 7.1mmol/l to 10.0mmol/l
