POSTER

In my opinion, poster is one of the most conve-nient and profound ways to convey visual impact in graphic design. Information or emotion can be communicated in a refined image without any explanation.

ILLUSTRATION

THE ERA

From the 80s to now, the great majority of Hong Kong citizens witnessed the vicissitudes and tasted the sweets and bitters of life. This series of works not only implies the destiny of Hong Kong, but also references the calligraphy graffiti from a late renowned Hong Kong artist TsouChoi-Tsang who named himself as The King of Kowloon.

The Kowloon Walled City: I was born in here.

The great immigration: I have seen countless planes, but I never have a chance to get on.

The transfer of sovereignty over Hong Kong: It’s the first time I realized that the word “country” has two ways to write.

The financial crisis: I lost everything, especially my hope.

The Hong Kong-Mainland conflict: Driving a red minibus across the city is now my daily job. I know where I came from, but I don’t know where to go.

LastWishes

Exproring the reasons why people want to extend thier lives after natural death.

At any moment, people may stand at the death’s door. Once people confront their ends, they will finally real-ize their unaccomplished intention and last wishes.

Frozen, the installation art, is an experiment to explore people’s attitude towards immortality and the methods of conserving their bodies from ancient to modern times, such as cryonics.

Transparent leaf veins were selected to show body’s curve and the texture of skin. The combination of fabric and skin express the inseparable relationship be-tween human and nature.

Besides, inspired by crustaceans which have unique shelters to defend threats from outside, copper-colored wire is used to shape the framework of the jacket, cultivating the indifferent and me-tallic atmosphere of Industrial Revolu-tion.
