Class management and methodology Just before Christmas, when students will have a good command on (written and spoken) English because they’ll have reviewed last year contents, we'll introduce Christmas festival. It might seem a bit childish for adults like our students, but being able to learn about English traditions, specific vocabulary and feeling comfortable to use this new knowledge to speak, write and sing in English will be a motivation itself. All four skills are going to be reinforced. In each exercise we specify the skills that are going to be used by showing the following symbols:
LISTENING SPEAKING READING WRITING
Different student grouping is going to be used, trying to reinforce students working together so they can help each other and, moreover, communicate in English:

3. Final thought
Our "Xmas" project has been thought to learn about English culture and traditions. The idea is to work together and learn English vocabulary and traditions with many activities to do in class. The aim should be to have fun learning a topic and tradition and compare it with our own. Overall to be motivated using English as a main source of communication in the class, using ICT to help in the learning process, exchange information to know more about classmates, using music and other engaging tools.
Our English lessons are going to be transformed into a lab of songs, culture and creativity. Definitely, a space where students can talk and interact using English, discovering and enjoying the Anglo Saxon Christmas spirit.
As a final activity, we can create a class blog or use our school blog with all the activities done during the project (videos, audios...) to share it with the rest of the school.
