We had to face several challenges

to build three times 58 gold-coated nested mirrors including baffles to suppress visible and x-ray stray light

solved by an outstanding ESA-Prime contractor cooperation and a company (MediaLario).

Mayor steps to build the mirrors

- manufacturing of 58 mandrels- lay down a gold reflecting surface on the mandrels- back it with Nickel-layer- ease off the mandrel
