Contribution should be as concise as possible, and be forwarded at least six weeks beforethe date of publication. Papers are best type-written, and carefully revised, since alterationsin type are costly. References should be made in the folowing order :-year-volume-poge-and be inserted in brackets in the text where they occur, thus: (BUT. Man. Joun., 1912, -,579), or given in order at the end of the paper. Where practicable, articles should concludewith a short summary of their contents.

PROGNOSIS IN THE

This book summarises the results of treatment of patients who were in

the Cassel Hospital between the years 192I and 1934, during the periodin which the author was medical director. So far as possible all thepatients have been followed up, and from their letters an initial attempthas been made to estimate a prognosis for patients suffering from neurosis.
