  • ClarifyingArsenic For Tea – Day 5

    BIG PICTURE

  • Today we are going to complete a big picture. The questions will be based on Part II, Chapter 2. You read this yesterday and it can be found on the home learning are of the school’s website.

  • Here is the Big Picture for today.

  • WritingL.O: To edit and improve my

    writing.

  • Here are some examples of writing that I loved.

  • Let’s have a look at the steps to success from yesterdays lesson.

  • Let’s get started

The first thing I want you to do today, is read your work from yesterday.

  • Today we are going to think about how we can improve our writing and make it even better.

  • Look at this example. How can it be improved?

    •inspector finn gerprint is mean.

  • That’s right there were no capital letters and it was a tell sentence. I need to show that the Inspector was mean.

•Slowly, Inspector Finn Gerprint told everyone around him to stop talking and keep their mouths shut!

  • Here is another example.

    • Inspector finn gerprint arrived at the manor house and demanded to

see the crime scene. He was bossy and mean. he climbed the stairs

and was looking for all the clues. a man jumped out from behind a

door and cried. Inspector finn gerprint demanded the man be quiet

    and leave the scene.

  • Now can you edit and

    improve your own writing.

  • Before you start today’s lesson, take a look a Fionn’sexcellent efforts at drawing mouths from last week.

  • Friday Fun Challenge!

    • Today we have added a fun challenge.

    • Watch the video to see what it is.

    • It is entirely optional and, although it is called “Friday Fun” you have 2 weeks to submit your videos as proof.

    • A certificate will be awarded to the person who manages (on video) to catch the most coins without dropping any.

    • Good luck.

    • This challenge may be completed with any type of coin.

  • • Think about your learning over the last 3 weeks.

    • What have you learned about yourself?

    • What have you learned about your parents/carers?

    • How resilient are you?

    • Would you like to give the adults who help you a shout out? If so, what would you say?

    • Now fill in today’s feedback form
