AMBASSADOR AWARD

Conducted by SA COUNTRY SHOWS

Are you young and enthusiastic about rural life?

Do you enjoy travelling and meeting new

people?

Are you involved in your local community?

These awards aim to highlight the importance of youth in rural South

Australia and in particular the agricultural show movement. It provides a great

opportunity to give young people a forum to express their views through education and experience and develop closer links

with the primary industries in S.A. Rural Ambassador 20-30 year olds

Young Rural Ambassador 16-19 year olds.

the fun you can have being involved.

XTREME TRIALS Adrian Harry thrills the crowd

with his skills on a trials motorcycle. He masters an

obstacle course with balance and a level of precision and control

found in no other sport. The shows combine choreography, stunt riding and showmanship.

His performances have been described as “unbelievable” and

have left crowds in awe of his ability to take a motorcycle to the

extreme. Unbelievable skills combined with a crowd

In Memoriam Bert Edwards was a farmer who loved

what he did - a quiet man, until you stopped to have a chat. Then you would find he had plenty to say but always with

warmth and good humour. Our show survives on the generosity and energy of our many volunteers. Over the

last 50 years or so it would be hard to find anyone that has given the show as

much as Bert and if you know what others have given the show you will know

this is a big statement. The sheep/wool sections, committee

work and the grounds all received a lot of his attention but not only these as the

Yankalilla Show, as a whole, was an important part of Bert’s life and we

acknowledge his wonderful contribution.
