FAREWELL & GOOD LUCK YEAR 12 2016
From our Principal Year 12 HSC exams are well on the way and it is pleasing to hear the positive com-ments and see so many smiling faces as students come out of the exam room. Final preparation for HSC exams is vital and I would like to thank the many staff members who gave up large chunks of their holiday and after school time to work with their Yr12 students. I would like to pass on my congratulations to staff member Ms Tesch who achieved a sailing gold medal at the 2016 Rio Paralympics. Liesl is an inspiration to all of us and we are extremely fortunate to have such a positive person working and living in our community. Well done Liesl!!! Can I remind parents that school attendance is vital especially this time of year. Yr12 2017 have already started HSC work and the official leaving date for Yr10 is the 16th December. We encourage Yr10 to undertake work experience after week 5 to provide some valuable real world experience and test a possible career direction. Students need to contact our Careers Advisor, Ms Beemster to make these arrangements. Un-less students are on official school business please ensure they are at school every day. Some upcoming term 4 events are:
Yr 10 exams during week 4
Variety Night/s during week 5
Sport Presentation 10th November
Yr12 Formal 17th November
Yr9 into 10 transition days – week 7
Deadlys K-12 presentation - 8th December
College Presentation evening – 12th December
Last day of school – 16th December David Allomes
A reminder to parents to notify the school about your child’s health
We welcome information from parents about your child’s health, even if you are not requesting specific support from the school. Our school asks for medical information when you enrol your child. It is also im-portant that you let us know if your child’s health care needs change or if a new health condition develops. Information about allergies, medical conditions such as asthma and dia-betes and other health care related issues (including prior conditions such as medical procedures in the last 12 months) should be provided to the school by parents. Please provide this information in writing to the Head Teacher Welfare. This will greatly assist our school in planning to support your child’s health and wellbeing. Please also remember to notify staff in the school office of any changes to your contact details or to the contact details of other people nominat-ed as emergency contacts.
