RHYTHM—The importance of Rhythm in music and the basic rhythm

values that are used.

MELODY—Developing the use of rhythm and how it becomes the

NOTATION—Understanding traditional stave notation and the combi-

nation of rhythm and notes. A whole class project using many parts

to perform a piece of music.

MUSIC AND COMPUTERS—Continuing the understanding of notation

and the use of computers to create and adapt music.

UKULELES—Learning how to play and how to read tab notation.
