TASK DESCRIPTION Cows Create Careers (CCC) is a dairy industry based project designed specifically for secondary school students in New South Wales by the dairy industry. The aim is to provide a platform for students studying Agriculture to work with dairy industry advocates and dairy farmers to learn about the rural industries and ways for caring for animals. At the beginning of term 3 Picton High School received two young calves ( 3 weeks old) from a local dairy farmer and the students are required to work in groups of 4/5 students to feed the calves, monitor their health and growth and report on their condition. For ease of identification each team will think of a name for their team and take picture(s) of their team with the calves The duration of the CCC project is 3 weeks and at completion each student is required to submit an individual assessment task that demonstrates their skills, knowledge and understanding of calf husbandry and management processes. The individual submission will also be coalesced into a team submission to be eligible for the regional assessment. Students in teams of 4 - 5 will submit either one of the following work for the regional assessment:

(i) 3D Model OR 1.2 Mootube Moovie / PowerPoint - Submit photos of your 3D Model as jpg files OR your Moovie as mp4, wmv or ppt files (see Pages 9&15).

(ii) Snail Mail or E-mail to Dairy Australia with a Scientific Report - Submit your Snail Mail or E-mail and Scientific Report as doc or pub files (see Pages 12&14).

(iii) Take a Funny Photo of your Team with the Calves - Submit a fun and creative photo of your Team with the Calves as a jpg file (see Page 10).

(iv) Student Evaluation (Entry & Exit) Forms - Submit your Student Evaluation Forms either as a hard copy or use the Survey Monkey link (see Pages 10&17).

(v) Final Team Checklist - What have you submitted? Please ensure that your team completes this form (see Page 11).
