WHY STUDY A LANGUAGE?
• Your ideas???
People who speak more
than one language can
earn as much as an
extra £9000 a year
Although I’m known first
and foremost as an
athlete, my
foreign language skills
have given another
dimension to my career. I
regularly use French and
German when I travel to
compete in Europe.Paula Radcliffe
94% of the world
doesn’t speak
English as their
first language.
CILT: The National Centre for Languages
75% does
not speak
English at all !
We prefer
apprentices with
some knowledge
of French.Peugeot
Life can be
better for
linguists.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

for language students are in

• “Secretarial and clerical staff with language skills can earn 20% extra than those with only English”
WHICH LANGUAGE?

commence a language at college / university
