Year FS1 Remote Learning Pack
Welcome
Hello from Mrs Dickinson, Mrs Armstrong and Mrs Dennis. • We hope you are all ok. We miss you all lots but we are glad you are safe in your own homes.
The book of the week this week is ‘Night Monkey, Day Monkey’ which links
to our new half term topic ‘Rumble in the Jungle’. • We have seen some fantastic examples of home learning on class dojo and via our class email
• On the maths and literacy activities in the pack there are three colour coded activities. Orange
activities are the easiest ones to do and then the Green activities are slightly harder. The Blue
activities are then extra challenge for your children. Start on the orange ones and work your way
through to your child's own ability.
• You will also find this information on our website where you will then be able to download it if
you wish to alongside a list of useful links.
Whole School Weekly Challenge
Can you write down or talk about 10 things that you have got better at since being in this
class? This may be academic or relating to your own personal skills e.g. I know how to
answer long division questions, I can now balance along a bench in PE, my handwriting is
neater, I have become more resilient Joke of the Week Wellbeing Idea for the Week
Q: Why didn’t the banana cross the road?
A: Because it’s a banana – it can’t walk!
Q; Why did the banana go to the hospital?
A; Because it wasn’t peeling
very well!
Mindful Steps: Remove your shoes and socks and
check that the environment is safe to walk
around with bare feet. Encourage
the children to think about how
the floor feels as they walk along it.
