Peter is General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Privacy Officer of Resolver Inc., a leading cloud-based, integrated risk management software company. As a member of the company’s executive team, he manages Resolver’s day-to-day legal affairs by providing advice on corporate-commercial, M&A, employment, corporate finance and privacy law. Prior to joining Resolver, he was Senior Vice-President, Corporate Affairs, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of a global, publicly traded travel technology company and he has also served as in-house legal counsel to early-stage and mature companies in the technology industry. Peter started his career practicing corporate and technology law at Gowling WLG LLP and has also practised at Dentons LLP. He is the recipient of the 2015 International Law Office/Association of Corporate Counsel Global Counsel Award in the General Commercial category, was named in 2016 to the inaugural Legal 500 GC Power list for Canada as one of the most influential and innovative in-house counsel in Canada and included in Legal Era World’s Leading General Counsel publication in 2017. Peter is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto and has an undergraduate degree from McGill University.
Lisa is a partner in Torkin Manes’ Business Law Group and is the leader of the firm’s Technology, Privacy & Data Management Group and Emerging Technology Group. Lisa has particular expertise in preparing and negotiating technology agreements, including cloud and managed services agreements, mobile payment agreements, and system acquisition and master services agreements. She also advises on privacy, data security and cybersecurity legal matters and provides guidance on IoT, AI/smart contracts, blockchain and open source issues.
