“The   film   created   much   needed   awareness   in   the   minds   of   students.   We   hope   the  movement  will  be  a  big  success  in  the  years  to  come  and  in  turn  save  the  tigers  of  India.  I  wish  them  all  the  success  in  their  effort.”

-‐Viswa  Shanthi  Vidyalaya  Matriculation  School,  Kothagiri,  Nilgiris.

“The  movie  was   a   whistle   blower   about   the   current   state   of   the   tiger.   Our   students  learnt   a   lot   from   the   movie.   They   raised   many   questions   regarding   conservation   of  nature   and   tiger.   It   was   one   of   the   most   unforgettable   learning   experience   for   the  students.”

-‐  Government  High  School,  Ellaippatti,  Pudukkottai  district.      “The  Students  found  the  programme  very  interesting  and  we  have  received  very  good  feedback  from  various  stakeholders  of  the  school  to  make  the  programme  even  larger  in  the  coming  years.  Your  willingness  and  enthusiasm  shown,  to  go  the  extra  mile  for  the  sake  of  creating  awareness  amongst  children  and  for  the  future  of  this  country  has  greatly  inspired  us.”

-‐ Kamala  Subramaniam  Matriculation  Higher  Secondary  School,  Tanjavur.

“Our  students  have  really  felt  the  need  to  protect  the  tigers.  We  must  thank  the  team  for  their  effort  to  make  our  students  feel  the  need  to  save  planet  earth  on  the  whole.”

-‐ Sri  Ramakrishna  Vidhyalaya  Matriculation  School,    Ayyampatti,  Gundur,  Tiruchirapalli  district.

“The   documentary   has   been   a   revelation   in   understanding   about   this   wonderful  species  which   is  on  the  verge  of  extinction  and   it  has   instilled   in  our  minds  to   lend  a  helping  hand  for  all  the  efforts  in  conserving  tigers  and  protect  our  national  animal.”

-‐M.A.M  College  of  Engineering,  Siruganur,  Tiruchirapalli.

“The  initiatives  of  YFC  are  very  useful,  informative  and  helpful  for  the  students.  It  has  the  potential   to  make  a  difference   to   the   conservation   scenario  of  our   country.  Good  luck  for  all  the  efforts.”

-‐  Mount  Zion  Matriculation  Higher  Secondary  School,  Pudukkottai.

“The   film   and   the   interaction   motivated   younger   minds.   The   speaker’s   intellectual  sharing  has   ignited   the  minds  of  hundreds  of   students   for  nature   conservation.  Each  and  every  participant  of   this   show  will   share   this   information  with   their   friends  and  family  members  and  the  conservation  idea  will  increase  manifold.”

-‐  Arumugam  Pillai  Seethai  Ammal  College,  Tiruppattur,  Sivagangai  District.

These  outreach  programmes  were  supported  by

OUR  OUTREACH  PARTNERS

A  sincere  'thank  you'  to  all  our  donors  and  supporters.  We  couldn't  have  accomplished  any  of  this  without  you!    The  outreach  programmes  were  received  with  great  excitement  and  enthusiasm.  This  was  in  large  part  due  to  the  fact  that  students  (and  teachers)  in  small  towns  and  villages  have  very  little  exposure  to  nature  education,  and  rarely  get  to  experience  curated  screenings  of  thought  provoking  documentary  films.  Learning  from  our  experiences  in  2011  and  2012,  YFC  is  planning  to  create  a  structured  conservation  education  module  and  move  forward  to  bridge  the  gap  between  youth  and  conservation.            We  look  forward  to  your  support  in  the  future  too!
