The mission is clear, bring the message of Jesus Christ to the youth of Long Island. This island is saturated with teenagers who are searching for something lasting. So many young lives are filled with brokenness and pain, others boredom and apathy. Teens pursue the same lies over and over hoping this time it will satisfy.

We have the answer. We have what they are looking for. We have a passion to bring it to them. As you read through these pages, I hope you are inspired and encouraged with the work God is doing in the lives of young people through LIYFC. I also hope you will decide to partner with us to ensure that every school and every

kid has a chance to meet Jesus, the One they have been looking for.

Campus Life combines healthy relationships with creative weekly programs to help young people where they are, to make good choices, establish a solid foundation for life in Christ,

and positively impact their community.

Nikki's Story..."What I’ve encountered at Campus Life has ended up changing my life in an amazing way. I decided to check out "CL" last spring because I had been hanging out with the wrong crowd, and needed to meet some new people. Having no expectations, I peeked in to be warmly greeted by both faces from school, and some unfamil-iar faces as well. CL provided an atmosphere where I could let my guard down.

As the annual "YFC Heat Wave" trip approached, I began to grow not only socially and morally, but spiritually as well thanks to the inspired mentors at CL and the work of His Spirit. I didn’t know what was in store for me at Heat Wave, but inside, it was just something I had to do. Heat Wave is where I first met Christ.

Since then, I’ve become a new person. A person who has been made whole.

Campus Life sparked and con-tinues to spark a deep, internal, much needed change in who I was. Through meeting Christ, I’ve realized who I am, and I’ve become alive. I’ve also com-pletely demolished the life I used to live, and rebuilt it on the sturdy foundation of His Love. This group led me to amazing people that I look up to every day, as well as learning a tre-mendous amount about how to be my best self. Campus Life has acted as a catalyst for the happy, healthy, faithful person I am today."

YFC Core desires to see students share their faith with their friends. Through student-led Christian clubs, we have the most access to sharing the Gospel with our public schools,

a place that is in desperate need for the love of Jesus.

Daniel's Story..."At the age of eight, I had dis-covered the power of ministry at school. Through a magazine article entitled, “God in School,” I learned about what a Christian Club was and how students of our generation were spreading the Gospel! In 7th Grade I made efforts to start an official club at my school. A week later my prin-cipal began to give me the forms to start the, “Next Generation Christian Club” at our middle school. At our first meeting we had 12 students. Now we are in

our second year of holding this club and about 130 different students have attended one of our meetings. Our highest at-tendance was 65 students at our “2014, End of the Year Party.” On average we have close to 40 stu-dents a week and about half of them are non-Christian kids. Our meetings vary by having food, live music and icebreaker games.

Every week we [the students], present the Gospel in a way that reaches our classmates.

Over the past two years 24 or more students have made the commitment to follow Christ! Youth For Christ helps my club by providing us with different resources, events on Long Island and the finances needed to per-form some activities at our club. I will always be grateful to God for my YFC leader and how she has actively supported my ministry. The Psalmist restates my heart’s desire by saying, “we will tell the next generation the praise-worthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done (Psalm 78:4b).”

Chris's Story...At City Life, our vision is to empower our urban youth to change their neighborhoods for Christ. This is true with Chris, one of our City Life students in Brentwood. He was selected to become part of our Student Leadership Development Team. When asked what he thought of being selected, Chris said:

"I have never been selected for anything positive like this before." Chris has been a great role model for the other students, and to see him finally get noticed and recognized by caring adults is what makes City Life so essential in our communities.

Youth Leader NetworkYouth for Christ leads a collaborative ministry to young people by building bridges to youth leaders and pastors from a wide variety of churches and orgnaizations.

YFC is a catalyst to get youth leaders together on a regular basis for training, idea sharing, community prayer, and mutual support.

National & Local OriginsYouth for Christ was founded in 1944 by Dr. Torrey Johnson and a group of young leaders (including Billy Graham) who were concerned about reaching the youth outside of church. The YFC movement spread quickly to over 250 cities nationally and to over 100 counties worldwide.

YFC was started on Long Island in 1959 by Dave Swanson. LIYFC is a chartered affiliate of YFC/USA and is registered as a non-profit charitable organization in NY. Locally goverened by a board of directors and locally funded.
