Why join M O K S H A YO G A?WHEN YOU KNOW YOU’RE READY, YOU’RE READY!

Welcome to the Moksha Academy of Yoga Teacher Training Course.

Our training, accredited by Yoga Alliance (USA) (200hr) and Yoga

Australia (500hr) has become one of the most sought after Yoga Teacher

Training Courses in Australia! This is mainly because our training thoroughly

prepares you to confidently deliver vinyasa krama yoga classes, underpinned

with thorough academic knowledge, strong spiritual aspirations and practical

hands-on teaching experienced during your training.

The path of the yoga teacher trainee is first and foremost filled with a passion

and desire to be in service to others. This is because you too have experienced

the transformative power of applying these ancient teachings as a way of

life and now wish to share your own unique understanding of this beautiful

practice with others.

This is how our graduates are contributing to making a significant positive

difference in a fast-paced, ever changing world, not only in Australia, but

worldwide.

At the Academy, our purpose is to consistently ensure the provision of a high

academic standard of learning by sharing the aliveness of these rich teachings

that are as relevant today as they were 2,500 years ago! The skill of applying

these teachings in theory and practice is essential, first within ourselves and

then sharing them as a yoga teacher to all walks of life. The richness of the true

intention of yoga is then lived as a life practice, of who we are and who we are

yet to become.

So… if you feel this is the path for you, now is the time to dedicate your journey

to uplifting the lives of others in the knowledge that you have the capacity to

truly make a difference! This training guides you on a journey of transformation

to awaken the light within yourself so that you too can guide and support

others in doing the same

We are honoured to be sharing our knowledge, our passion, our practice and

our teachings with you in the knowing that one day you too will share that

same light in service to others.

Namaste

PRACTICAL TEACHING EXPERIENCE

PRACTICAL TEACHING LABS

We are widely respected for our ability to provide consistent hands-on teaching experience in a diverse range of teaching settings throughout the training. We believe these opportunities for Teacher Trainees to apply the theory and practical teachings of Yoga to real-life experiences to be an effective way of both disseminating and integrating knowledge. As a part of the YTT curriculum, the Practical Teaching labs are designed to explore further the art and science of Yoga teaching whist gaining valuable teaching experience under the supervision of a Senior Yoga Teacher. The labs also include the opportunity to further refine teaching techniques and methodology by developing skills in class planning, themes, injury awareness and management, teaching strategy and delivery.

There are four (4) Practical Teaching Labs delivered across the full curriculum. Trainees undertaking the 12 month Part Time course are invited to participate in a further two (2) labs on their opposing lecture day should they wish to. We encourage as much practical teaching experience as possible, and this is a great way to attain further experience prior to Graduation.

75 MINUTE BEGINNERS & VINYASA POWER FLOW CLASSESWe believe it is essential that Teacher Trainees have practical hands on teaching experience throughout the course.  This is offered in order for you to apply and integrate the theory and practice of your Yoga studies into the class environment with confidence.   Therefore, as a YTT at Moksha you are eligible to be mentored and teach beginners AND vinyasa power flow classes to members of the public, supervised by our Senior YTT Mentor.  These classes are conducted on Tuesday evenings.

If you choose to enrol into the 6 Month Full Time Course, you will join the roster 3 months into your training, and if you undertake the 12 Month Part Time Course, you will join the roster approximately 6 months into your training.

20 MINUTE MENTORING TUTORIALSIn addition, we have created the Mentoring Tutorials as a means to support you and your fellow students to focus on specific areas of teaching that are outside of the minimum curriculum requirements. The ‘Mentoring Tutorials’ are conducted at the start of each and every lecture and YTT’s are scheduled to teach a 20 minute Yoga class to their peers.

3. If required a member of our Administration Team will then contact you to arrange an interview in person or by telephone.

5. To secure a place on the course, the following are required to be completed within 7 days of the ‘letter of offer’.

• Should your application be successful, written confirmation of your acceptance of a place must be received by the Moksha Academy of Yoga via email.• A non-refundable deposit of $1,000 is required to hold a place in your chosen intake and payment of the non-refundable deposit can be made by Credit / debit Card, EFTPOS, Direct Bank Deposit or Cash. Please note that:

• We will not accept payment of the non-refundable deposit until after a ‘letter of offer’ has been provided. This is to ensure that you have received the applicable key dates and terms and conditions before formally accepting a place.

• Surcharges will apply to payments by Credit Card as per National Australia Bank’s terms and conditions.• Completed Financial Agreement and Direct Debit forms must be submitted if you have chosen the option to pay the balance of fees by instalments.

Students will be contacted in writing to confirm the new ‘start date’ including an outline of lectures to be completed to ensure successful graduation.

Students enrolled in the 12 month Part Time course are able to swap the days in which they study e.g. from Thursday to Wednesday only once during the course and are also required to complete the ‘Student Transfer Form’ as per above.

Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life; dream of it; think of it; live

on that idea. Let the brain, the body, muscles, nerves, every part of your

body be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the

way to success, and this is the way great spiritual giants are produced.

YOGA TEACHER TRAINING TESTIMONIALS

“ Without sounding cliché, my experience as a teacher trainee at Moksha Academy of Yoga has been

one of the best of my life. From the moment that I first walked through the door, I knew that Moksha

was where I was meant to be and as I progressed through the course, that belief was only further

confirmed.

Moksha has thoroughly prepared me for teaching yoga in the Western world by providing me with

a deep understanding of the anatomy and physiology of yoga as well as staying true to its ancient

origins and philosophy. It is, however, the practical hands on teaching experience that has been

invaluable and as I approach graduation, I feel fully prepared and confident to commence teaching

out in the ‘real world’!

Throughout my journey with Moksha I have also felt truly supported by the wonderful and

exceptionally knowledgeable staff and I have looked forward to every lecture. Although I’m eager to

begin my journey as a teacher, I don’t want to wish my teacher training away as I really have enjoyed

(and will cherish) every moment.

I feel so thankful and blessed for my experience and would, therefore, recommend Moksha to anyone

from experienced practitioners wishing to expand their knowledge to those in their beginning stages

who wish to explore this wonderful ancient practice!”

- Samantha Jo-Hand

MOKSHA ACADEMY OF YOGA GRADUATE

“ After just one week of attending classes at Moksha I knew this was the place for me to delve

into the practice of Yoga by undertaking the Teacher Training Course. Throughout the entire

course Moksha offered the depth of the spiritual teachings and practices, alongside high quality,

comprehensive anatomy and physiology education. Despite having completed a degree in health

science prior to my studies, my understanding of the systems of the body expanded beyond

expectations.

This information was integrated into the context of Yoga for holistic health in a way that is accessible

and relevant for students in contemporary society. I was amazed at the exceptional quality of the

course material and the wealth of knowledge shared by the lecturers in their field of expertise which

made each class an engaging balance of both practice and theory. Completing this course has

changed not only the direction of my career but has also allowed such personal healing, growth and

transformation.

I am incredibly grateful for receiving such high quality education from dedicated professionals who

have allowed me to fell prepared and confident to now teach others.”
