Currently the Association’s highest-rated member benefit, the PEER REVIEW PROCESS allows members to resolve problems or misunderstandings regarding dental treatment. An alternative to civil litigation, it exists for the benefit of the patient and the dentist to settle disputes and ensure a successful treatment outcome.

As a member, you have exclusive access to TDA.ORG, which allows you to read the member publications for the latest in dental news and advancements, pay your dues, or search for a colleague. One click gives you access to all TDA communications, resources, programs, and affiliates.

The TEXAS DENTAL JOURNAL was established in 1883 and is the longest, continuously published dental journal in the Americas. The monthly publication includes peer-reviewed scientific articles and evidence-based research and methodology of interest to all dentists and specialists.

The TDA TODAY presents timely news covering the gamut of legislative, regulatory, and charitable issues. You will read about your peers in member spotlights and reports on statewide events.

As the leader of the dental team, you know that the best patient is an informed patient, and a healthy mouth is a smart mouth. SMART MOUTH is mailed biannually as a supplement to the Texas Dental Journal and includes articles and oral health information for your waiting room patients.

You owe it to your patients, your profession, and yourself to be a member of the Texas Dental Association.

you are the professional

Chartered and incorporated by the State of Texas in 1871, the TEXAS DENTAL ASSOCIATION (TDA) was created to cultivate the science and art of dentistry and to elevate and sustain the professional character of its members.

Now, with more than 9,000 members representing almost two-thirds of the state’s dentists, the TDA continues to offer world-class continuing education and practice opportunities. It also serves as an advocate for the profession in the legislative arena and allows members the opportunities to help Texas’ most underserved population.

Members of the TDA, the state’s largest dental organization, enjoy access to discounts and specials through dozens of dental supply and resource companies.

you are the advocate

While you practice dentistry and provide care for your patients, you have a team of legislative lobbyists, policy experts, and liaisons at the Texas Capitol who seek to preserve the integrity of Texas dentistry.

Our team meets with legislators and members of the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners, Health and Human Services Commission, Department of State Health Services, and other state and federal agencies to be your eyes, ears, and voice in the legislative process.

The staff and consultants implement the Association’s legislative agenda and mobilize its grassroots efforts.

DENPAC, the Texas Dental Association Political Action Committee, is a voluntary, non-profit, unincorporated group of dentists whose goal is to influence the nomination or election of state candidates who have demonstrated their concern for the preservation of dentistry as an independent profession, and for the dental health of the people of Texas.

State government plays a vital role in setting guidelines for how you run your practice on a daily basis. DENPAC exists to help safeguard against counter-productive legislation and to ensure that the Texas Dental Association has a constant presence at our state capitol.

Along with the practice of dentistry, DENPAC promotes and protects the dental health of the people of Texas. DENPAC advocates for the protection of dental patients against substandard care and promotes the importance of dental health for the citizens of Texas. Your contributions to DENPAC help elect responsive candidates who understand the important role dental health plays in our communities.

Be an advocate for your profession, your practice, and your patients. Join DENPAC. *denpac.org

you are the philanthropist

Your love for serving others and your love for humanity come to fruition through theTEXAS DENTAL ASSOCIATION SMILES FOUNDATION (TDSAF). As a dentist, your skills improve the lives of others. What better way to put them to work than to bring the TDASF’s mission to life?

“Our mission is to educate the public and professional about the oral health and improve access to dental care for citizens of Texas.”

Volunteer your hands, your mind, and your skills at a TEXAS MISSION OF MERCY, sponsored by TDASF. These dental MASH-type programs provide on-the-spot, restorative dental care for Texans who otherwise cannot afford treatment. Since 2001, Texas dentists have treated more than 25,000 patients and provided more than $18 million in charitable dental care. TDASF events are held in different locations throughout the state and represent one of the approaches used by the Texas dental profession to enhance access to quality oral health care.

You are a dentist, a helper by trade, a philanthropist by nature. *tdasf.org
