The AW139 is the best-selling intermediate helicopter, providing operators with high performance and flexibility for a broad range of applications. The AW139 fleet has flown over one million flight hours in less than ten years. This benchmark product offers further capability enhancement: a new Increased Gross Weight (IGW) kit is available which allows to increase the gross weight of the aircraft to 7,000 kg / 15,320 lb. The new IGW 7.0t kit, combined with an optimized airframe and new enhanced role equipment, also results in significant weight reductions, delivering more than 300 kg of additional useful load in a typical offshore configuration*.
The IGW 7.0t kit enables AW139 operators to do more with their assets, especially in more payload/range-intensive missions, such as:
• Offshore• Corporate / VIP transport• Search & Rescue• Para-public and Law Enforcement
From the standard 6.4t up to the 7.0t enhanced aircraft, all new built helicopters will benefit from optimized manufacturing and various reliability improvements, and can be fitted with a wide range of enhanced role equipment for transport configuration.
THE INCREASED GROSS WEIGHT 7.0t ADVANTAGE
*typical offshore configuration includes: emergency floats and rafts, air conditioning, cabin liners with soundproofing, crashworthy passenger seats and adaptive anti-vibration system.

IGW 7.0t PERFORMANCE
In a typical offshore configuration, transporting 12 passengers (100 kg / 220 lb each), the IGW 7.0t kit will increase the radius of action to up to 165 nm.When transporting 8 passengers, the kit will increase the radius of action from 185 nm to 230 nm. The IGW 7.0t kit preserves the helicopter performance envelope, providing:
• Temperature envelope at Sea Level from -40°C to +50°C• Slope landing up to 10° in all directions• Ditching capability up to sea state 6• Category A clear area at 7,000 kg / 15,430 lb up to ISA+20°C, Sea Level
RETROFIT OPPORTUNITY
The IGW 7.0t kit can also be retrofitted to in-service AW139s providing a substantial useful load increase.AgustaWestland will provide retrofit proposals on request, for both 6,400 kg / 14,110 lb or 6,800 kg / 14,990 lb configurations, based on a commercial option that will maximize cost-effectiveness for customers.
