MISHNA YOMI PROGRAM
The Mishna Yomi Program begins Masechta Bava Basra on Sunday,
February 10, 2019
Dear Member,
The month of February should be a month of fun in our shul. Our annual Trivia night is
always a great event of challenge, camaraderie and fun. A week later we will have our first Wine
Tasting event. This should give those in attendance a chance to develop an ever more
sophisticated sense of taste for a good wine. I hope you will attend both of these events and share
in the ruach of these programs.
While we are participating in these events, please also join us as we come closer to our goal
of paying off our mortgage. If you have not made a pledge yet, please consider doing so. Please do
not hesitate to approach me if you would like to participate.
Our $100,000 sweepstakes is in full swing. Please consider entering. Someone is going to
win! It may be you.
Sincerely,
Rabbi Naphtali Burnstein Rabbi Naphtali Burnstein Rabbi Naphtali Burnstein Rabbi Naphtali Burnstein

Kollel Minyanim Sunday through Thursday:
Mincha: 1:10 pm——-Maariv 9:30 pm
Kollel classes:
Sun.-Thurs. 8:00 pm Rabbi Baum’s Daf Yomi
Tues. 2:15 pm Rabbi Baum’s class for women on Mesilas Yesharim
Tues. 8:45 pm Rabbi Borchardt’s Chumash & Kugel Shiur for high school boys
In the Tefilah we say each night before going to sleep, we say:
“I hereby forgive everyone who offended or angered me, or sinned against me”.
Since we pray to Hashem to forgive our mistakes, certainly we should be willing to forgive others
who have offended us. What good comes from harboring resentments? We cannot act on them,
for the Torah explicitly forbids taking revenge.
Forgiving others and thereby ridding ourselves of resentments is in itself not only a virtuous
character trait, for it is considerate to others; more importantly, it works to our own advantage.
