The 'Cool As' Summer Refresher Drink Challenge, into its fifth year, will see 15 hospitality operators including cafes, restaurants, bars and a bakery create their own signature summer refresher drinks for people to enjoy over three

weeks. Customers will be given the chance to vote for their favourite drink by ballot or on 'Cool As' Summer Refresher’s Facebook page, with the winning

drink declared at the end of the challenge.

The challenge, founded by Hutt City Council is the summer version of the popular winter hot chocolate challenge, ‘Sweet As’. These challenges

inspire local hospitality businesses to be creative and attract people to the Lower Hutt CBD, and have grown in popularity since they were launched

in 2016.
