Bata Industrials has two types of full inlay soles, for an even better fit and optimum wear comfort.
The Beta inlay sole consists of three layers of special Saran weave textile. This ventilating air cushion insulates against heat and cold and keeps feet dry. There is now an improved pre-formed inlay sole for The Natural® as well as for BS2000® which is now thicker and more comfortable and offers added support. This sole guarantees excellent moisture absorption and thereby a pleasantclimate in the shoe.
Both soles are shock absorbing and can be easily removed and washed.
Bata Industrials has a fitting coloured lace for every model, with the option to giveshoes a personal touch. Every lace is available in two lengths: 90 and 120 cm.One variant contains Sigrafil®, which is flame retardant.
Shoes which give you so much pleasure need to be looked after. Then they will last much longer. These special care products from Bata Industrials feed the leather and keep it supple. They also provide extra protection against water and dirt. There is one variant for nubuck and another one for glossy leather.

bata Industrials uses excellent breathable materials for its footwear, such as textiles and nubuck for the uppers and the moisture absorbing Bata Cool Comfort® and Bata VentAir® for the lining. the two latter materials consist of different layers which ensure a soft, dry and fresh feel while at the same time transporting moisture to the outside. the full benefits of this climate management really come into play when the socks worn are also suited to the absorption and then expulsion of heat and humidity, so that these can then be transported away by the lining and upper material. An important part of absenteeism and sickness costs are caused directly or indirectly by the wearing of unsuitable footwear on the work floor. That can vary from the wrong type of sole, causing people to lose their footing where it really shouldn’t happen, to the wearing of shoes which do not offer enough support or protection. It is also frequently the case that people at work are simply wearing the wrong size shoe. Foot, ankle and low-back problems which arise from this, in particular, can be simply prevented by choosing the right shoes. For Bata Industrials, the whole story starts with a sublime fit. That is why we have developed special anatomically shaped lasts, which provide enough space around the instep and the front of the foot, so that our different models provide the over-all support and stability which you expect from the better quality safety shoe. For years, Bata Industrials has immersed itself in the anatomy of

The latest evidence of our aim to constantly improve our safety shoes is the new shank manufactured from high-quality thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). This smart innovation which combines a stabiliser and shock-absorber ensures better balance, added stability and extra comfort. Additionally, this revamped tour de force based on an anatomical last provides added protection and energy to the mid-foot. The result: better circulation in the feet, less weariness and maximum protection during the heaviest work. These are welcome features during the daily tasks performed on the work floor.

Our research is not only limited to shoes. Good socks are equally important in our view. That is why, along with our suppliers, we have developed special yarns and fibres to optimize the wear comfort of our safety shoes. Such as Pro-Guards®, a special, clover-leaf shaped fibre. When these fibres come into contact with each other, hollow tubes are created, which transport the perspiration to the outside of the sock, after which the lining can perform its mositure transporting function. At the same time, the antibacterial Amicor® reduces the transpiration odour. Furthermore, many models of sock have a terry cushion sole which comes up over the toes for extra comfort in shoes with steel toecaps. A large part of our sock range is also ESD as standard due to the application of the metal fibre Bekinox®. Finally, thanks to our advanced knitting machines, we can on request incorporate your company logo in the socks.

because fit is a flexible concept
the foundation for a good fit is the last. Given that research has shown that feet are getting wider with each generation, from now on bata Industrials will use as standard a last with enough space round the front of the foot and the instep, for greater stability and comfort. we also always ensure a big range of length sizes. In the natural® we even go one step further. Most of the models in this collection are available in no less than four width fittings: N, W, XW and XXW. Furthermore, on request, we measure each of our shoes individually to provide everyone with a perfectly fitting solution.

The renewed The Natural® has been developed to be a natural extension of the body. Inspired by nature and available in four widths, this lightweight safety shoe is characterised by its perfect fit for every foot. In spite of these benefits, the quality of the new The Natural® has been improved even further on various fronts.
New insights, obtained from intensive research, has led to this new collection from Bata Industrials. The sole technology applied to The Natural® has been improved even further. The collection includes models with a dual density polyurethane (PU) sole as well as models with a TriTech Plus®-sole. Both soles have a different profile that is tailored to the qualities of the sole materials used in order to create optimal stability and slip resistance. The shoe is formed on an asymmetrical last which follows the foot's natural shape. In addition, The Natural® is equipped with the active breathable and moisture-transporting Bata Cool Comfort®- or a leather lining, a replaceable and moisture-absorbing inlay sole, the shock-absorbing Tunnelsystem® and the energy-saving Easy Rolling System®.
Equipped with the new TPU shank which combines a stabiliser and shock-absorber, The Natural® provides extra support to the mid-foot. The TriTech Plus®-sole, a PU mid-sole with a walking sole composed of three densities of rubber, displays its full benefits in situations in which an extremely high slip resistance is required. The sole is also particularly durable and is oil-, acid- and cut-resistant. It insulates from cold and is heat-resistant up to 300 degrees Celsius. The primary characteristic of the lightweight and fast-drying GORE-TEX® laminate is that it is waterproof but also breathable. This effect is brought about by the special membrane whose pores are so small that water droplets cannot penetrate from the outside. However, the pores are large enough to allow water vapour molecules to pass through and be transported to the outside. As a result, feet stay dry and warm, and optimum comfort is provided.

what makes every safety shoe from bata Industrials unique
every collection of bata Industrials has its own specific extras. but there is one invention that makes every safety shoe from bata Industrials outstanding: the ingenious Tunnelsystem®, which we developed with the renowned prof.dr. w. baumann, professor in biomechanics. this recognisable notch in the heel (the tunnel) can deform when it comes down, to spread the pressure over a larger surface area. This built-in shock absorber thus spares the joints and keeps the wearer upright. by spreading the load, it also gives the heel extra stability. this prevents tiredness, loss of concentration and hence a great many accidents.
Feet and joints have a lot to endure on the work floor. especially when you are constantly on the move throughout the day. If you miss your footing on a step or make other sudden movements, the stress loading can reach extreme levels. Heels, ankles and knees, as well as hips and spine must then absorb a shock equivalent to 3 to 4 times the body weight. A good work shoe absorbs these shocks so that the joints are spared and the wearer remains firmly on his or her well shod feet. Gordon woods is not as lighfooted as he used to be, so he can well use the extra support. He swears by bata Industrials’ footwear, which he has been wearing for 10 years.

The new BS2000® from Bata Industrials is a well-thought- out safety shoe which combines optimum wearing comfort with the look of a sports shoe. The BS2000® is based on a contemporary design and wide last, and is equipped with various intelligent features and technology which are a welcome contribution to every wearer’s walking enjoyment.
The shoe is also equipped with a dual density PU anti-slip sole, and the active breathable and moisture-removing Bata Cool Comfort®-lining, which contributes to an optimum climate control in the shoe. Thanks to the ideal support for the natural action of the foot, the Easy Rolling System® provides the wearer with added comfort and energy savings. The built-in shock absorbing Tunnelsystem® spares the joints, keeps the wearer upright and ensures perfect stability. Equipped with the new TPU shank which combines a
stabiliser and shock-absorber, the BS2000® provides extra support to the mid-foot. The high-quality nubuck
upper adds the perfect finishing touch to this shoe available in sizes 35 through 49.
Several models from the BS2000® collection are manufactured with a sturdy and wear-resistant TPU toecap integrated into the design, which extends the life of the shoe, thus generating a cost-savings. In addition, the collection comprises a number of models in ESD (Electro Static Discharge) version:Tacoma, Ottawa, Toledo and Orlando. With these ESD models which more than satisfy the currently valid standards (0.1-35 MOhm), Bata Industrials offers the solution for preventing or limiting

In order of slip resistance these are Pu, which is above all light and flexible, tPu, which is antislip in all directions and TriTech Plus®, a sole manufactured using three densities of rubber, which is extra wear resistant and offer maximum protection against slipping, shards, oils, acids and heat (to 300 degrees Centigrade).
