Monday 29th July 2013 6:00pm start Chambers Crescent Theatre, Malak Shopping Centre Community dinner in June has been the most popular this year so far, a fantastic crowd of 250 people cheered for some amazing and inspiring performers. The next Community Dinner is coming up on 29 July (6pm - 8.30pm) and we can’t wait to see you there. Darwin Community Arts organizes a Community Dinner every last Monday in a month. The event is a great opportunity to get to know your neighbours, taste delicious dishes cooked by My Sisters’ Kitchen and be entertained by local artists. This is a FREE event but donations towards catering are welcome. Contact us on 8945 7347 if you would like to perform or volunteer your help at the event. To make theatre or not to make? DCA and its CemeNTworx Community Theatre are looking for people who want to make theatre! Actors, directors, designers, lighting/sound technicians, costume makers, young, old, experienced or not, if you are passionate about creating Theatre we want you! INFORMATION MEETING at Chambers Crescent Theatre, cnr Malak/Chambers Crescent, Malak, at 6.30pm, on Wednesday 7 August, 2013. First production planned for November 2013. Regular weekly workshops include: CemeNTmix (multicultural youth drama club), CemeNTjam (adult theatre jam group), CemeNTstars (young people with disabilities), CemeNTfiz (physical theatre) and Emotional Health Drama Workshops for schools and communities in remote areas.
