Board Staff answers Member questions…
Q. Why does my Broker or Company Staff have to activate my listing for me? Why can’t I do it?
A. Your Broker determines the Agent Permission Level for you in the Paragon System.
It’s important to talk with your Broker to learn what your Agent Permission Level is in Paragon. In general, Agents have two different Permission Levels in Paragon. An Agent with a Permission level of 3 can input and maintain almost all fields. However, it requires a Permission Level of 4 to be able to make a new listing Active, or to complete a Status Change, Price Change, or Listing Expiration Date extension. The following excerpt about Permission Levels was featured in the July 2015 Newsletter.

NEW—CHANGES TO AGENT PERMISSIONS IN PARAGON
Brokers may now authorize agents in their offices to receive an increased Security Level in Paragon, which will enable Agents to Input & Maintain ALL fields in Paragon. Currently, all Agents are limited from making changes in Paragon to fields that are germane to the listing agreement. With Broker Authorization, the MLS will increase an Agent’s Security Level, removing the limitations.
Increasing the Security Level in Paragon will enable an Agent to change/modify/maintain ALL fields in Paragon, which will include the ability to:
Make a new listing Active in Paragon Change the Status of their listing in Paragon Change the Price of their listing in Paragon Change the Expiration Date for their listing in Paragon Change the Compensation on their listing in Paragon Modify the Address of their listing in Paragon
If Agents are not listed on an Authorization Form, or if an Authorization Form is not submit-ted, Agents will remain at their current Security Level in Paragon. which will continue to allow the Agent to input and maintain their listings in Paragon, with some limitations. Those limita-tions prevent an Agent from making changes to listing fields that are germane to the listing agreement, as shown above. Broker Staff, or Board Staff, may continue to make changes to these fields.
IMPORTANT: A change in an Agent’s Security Level does not remove the obligation to provide the MLS with required docs in the required timeframe.
A Seller’s Property Condition Disclosure, and any other necessary disclosures, are required to be uploaded into Association Docs within 24 hours of the day/time that the MLS number is assigned.
A copy of the listing agreement is to be submitted to the MLS by midnight of the 3rd
business day.
This new gives Brokers additional flexibility to determine the level of responsibility they authorize for their agents in Paragon. Access the Authorization Form Here: https://goo.gl/Jo6IXG
