Choosing your Module In your second year, you must take 60 CATS (credits) of modules with the Liberal Arts department and 60 CATS from elsewhere across the university departments. This guide lists the modules available in the Liberal Arts pathway departments, as well as information on modules available in other departments. Your choices will be led by your pathway choice, which you must confirm with your Personal Tutor by the end of term 2. You can find a full list of all the university’s modules at http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/services/aro/dar/quality/modules/ but please note that not all modules listed will necessarily run in 2018/19. There will be more information on departments’ own websites. You may take honours level modules, which begin with the two letters of the department and the number ‘2’ or ‘3’, e.g. IP201, IP301 etc. Please note that some departments separate their second and third year modules, while others will allow you to take any honours level module, no matter which year you are in. Remember to check the policy of the department you are interested in studying with. For academic advice on choosing your modules, contact your Personal Tutor. For administrative advice, contact Susanna Pinkney on [email protected]. Pathway Pre-requisites Some pathway departments require students to have completed their first year module(s) with that department before they can choose the departmental pathway for their second year. This applies to:

Economics

Film & Television

Global Sustainable Development

Life Sciences

Philosophy If you wish to pursue your Liberal Arts pathway with any of the above departments, you MUST have taken your first year module(s) with that department. Timetable Considerations The final teaching timetable will not be released until September 2018 and all timetable information is subject to change. Therefore timetable information in this guide should be used as guidance only.

To check timetables for modules for 17/18, go to your timetable in Tabula, select ‘Show all timetables’ at the top right, then the ‘Module’ drop down menu. Search for a module and you will be able to see all teaching activities for that module for the year. Registering your Module Each department has a slightly different process for registering onto their modules. Guidance is provided in the guide as to the departments’ processes. Once the department has approved you to take the module, you must register all your modules online via eMR (eVision Module Registration). eMR will open on 24 September 2018. You will not be able to register your modules until you have re-enrolled. You can access eMR at www.warwick.ac.uk/evision There is a user guide at http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/services/academicoffice/examinations/emr/helppage/ Deadline Your module registration on eMR must be completed by Friday Week 3 of Term 1. Seminar Registration After you have registered your modules, some departments also require you to register for a seminar group. Again, departments do this differently and for the best guidance you are advised to contact the department direct. All information in this guide is subject to change and is to be used for guidance only. For the most up to date information, always check with the department.
