  • "Instant Customer Gratification" Start Chat Step 1 When a visitor clicks on the AnswerChat button, a new window will open up asking them for their name and e-mail address (only if they would like to have a copy of the chat session e-mailed to them). This enables you to know who you are chatting with, and provides the customer with a written copy of your answers to their questions. This minimizes the need for the customer to jot down your answers as you are chatting.

  • "Instant Customer Gratification" Start Chat Step 2 Once the visitor clicks the Start Chatting button, the chat window will open up and a message will display that says, Please wait for an operator to respond. AnswerChat will automatically search for your next available operator, either in a priority fashion, or a balanced fashion, selectable by you. You can easily change this selection at any time. This gives you full control of your operators.

  • "Instant Customer Gratification" Start Chat Step 3 The request to chat window opens up on the computer of the next available operator. It displays the name of the visitor, the referring page, and plays a ringing sound. You can choose to start the chat session, send the chat to the next operator, or send the visitor to the. e-mail form. A 15 second timer will automatically send the chat to the next operator if you are away from your PC or unable to answer right away. If no operators are available, the visitor is sent to the e-mail form.

You can customize the text (and background color) of the away message, and change it again any time. This is a valuable tool, especially if you need to provide a special vacation away message, etc

  • "Instant Customer Gratification" Chat Session Begins Once you accept the chat, the visitor automatically receives a customized greeting message. You can change this greeting at any time, and you can have a customized greeting for each individual operator, if you wish. You can select the operator name you wish to use for each operator. If you dont want a visitor to know your real name, you can call yourself Operator 14, as an example.

From this window you can also view the pages your customer has visited and your customers web data. You can use the Quick Links to push a web page, file or graphic to your customer, or use the Quick Messages to easily respond to frequently asked questions. You can also forward the chat to another operator, if a customer needs special assistance.

  • "Instant Customer Gratification" End Chat Once the chat session has ended and you close your chat window, a copy of the chat text will be sent to the visitor by e- mail (if they entered their e-mail address at the start of the AnswerChat session). Any URLs, e-mail addresses, or pages that were pushed to the visitor, will appear as highlighted text, enabling the visitor to easily click and view those pages again, whenever they wish.
