YUNMAI’s first product was the Smart Scale M1301(Premium version), released in China
in 25th of August 2015.

3. YUNMAI Smart Scale M1501 – Mini Version
YUNMAI’s third Smart device is Mini Version that released in 13th of July 2015.
PART TWO – PRODUCTS FEASTURES & FUCTIONS
1. YUNMAI Smart Scale measures 10 body statistics, tracking numbers on APP at any
time, up to 16 people, automatically Bluetooth Synchronization.
YUNMAI Smart Scales get over the weakness of family scales perfectly, such as
environment, measurement unit, price and connection. There is no matter that you step on
YUNMAI on tiles or carpet. YUNMAI helps you reach your health and fitness goals more
than a scale.

3. Yunmai smart scale measurement principle
Yunmai smart scale measurement principle is “BIA (bioelectrical impedance analysis),
under that method and composing of weight, age, height to calculate stats like body fat,
muscle, etc., All the stats can help you to know yourself better.
4. Measure Accuracy and range
Ø Weight measure range: 3kg~150kg, Accuracy: 0.2kg

5. Instructions & Tips
Ø The human body is made up of fat, muscle, water, bone, protein components, while there’s a
huge different impedance in each body composition.
Ø Human body is comprise by fat, muscle, water, bone mass, protein and so on.
Ø The measurement results about BIA is not 100% accurate that we only can calculate
the approximate stats. For absolute precision value, it’s better for you to go to hospital to do
in body inspection if necessary.

1. What kind of app can be matched for YUNMAI Smart Scale?
Yunmai app is matched for Yunmai smart scale only. Family management system helps
your family health information. Yunmai uses cloud server to record your data every day.

4. Compatibility in Smart Device
As YUNMAI series smart scale use the BLE Bluetooth low energy technology and Bluetooth
4.0 chips. So the devices must be equipped with Bluetooth 4.0 module and achieve iOS 7.0
and above or Android 4.3 and above. In other words, it’s not compatible either your devices
hardware or software does not meet the requirements. Commonly, for iOS devices: support all
the models after iPhone 4s and iPad 3; For Android devices: support most part of the models
launch since 2015.
PART FOUR – Frequency Questions
1. How to use YUNMAI Smart Scale to measure body stats
Please follow below three steps
Ø The first step: How to install battery
Open the battery cover on the back of the product, and then insert the battery in
accordance with the anode and the cathode, then the screen will flicker and flash. If
there is no data display, please rub the four batteries up and down with fingers until it
can display.
Ø The second step: How to download “YUNMAI“ App
You can scan the QR code on the product; search “YUNMAI” from Apple store or
Google play. Then follow the App instruction and register with email or phone number
account.
Ø The third step: How to connect “YUNMAI” with your mobile phone
Turn on the Bluetooth. When the App home page display your account name or the
product screen display the Bluetooth symbol “B”, it means connect successfully.
(“YUNMAI” App can connect with the product automatically, and no need to manual
pair from your mobile phone Bluetooth list.)Then you can step on the smart scale with
barefoot. Standing in the center, and leaning forward a little bit is prefer.
2. The situation of screen is black and no reaction when battery installed
If the product show similar situation of black screen is not the defective of product, but
most likely the battery is not assembled properly.
The instructions of assembling battery show as below:
Ø Step 1 Install the battery to the back of the scale.
Ø Step 2 check the display, if it doesn’t work, installs the battery again.
Ø Step 3 if it still doesn’t work, try to twist the battery up and down, or install it one more
time.
3. What’s the lifetime for the batteries?
It runs for 3 to 6 months on four AAA batteries, 2 t0 3 moths for high frequency used, So
it’s please take out the battery if you are not going to use it for a long time
4. The situation of all data and battery icon of the LCD screen flashing
The situation of all data of the LCD screen flashing means the product low battery. Please
change four new batteries and assemble to weight again.
5. Solution of “YUNMAI”App cannot measure other body statistics except weight
There are four reasons for that situation:
Ø Situation one: The age setting in the App is under 18 years old. As the juveniles is
growing that the body data is changing every day, so it cannot measure and track on
the exact data except weight.
Ø Situation Two: The product surface is not clean or users’ feet too dry. You could use
wet towel to clean the surface or feet, then to weight again.
Ø Situation Three: There is no direct contact between product surface and users’ feet.
(Such as the plastic film not be removed from the product surface or users wear too
thick socks)
Ø Situation Four: Users abandoned the weighting process without finishing the
measurement.(The weighting is finished after the progress bar on screen shown
three times from left to right)
6. People needs attention when use the scales as below:
Ø Pregnant woman：The weak electric current is no harm for human body; however, it
is better for you who are pregnant to wear slippers when you step on the scale. Due
to the special situation, pregnant woman only can test weight.
Ø Under 18 years old: The stats except weight in not for young people that are under
18, because they are growing up that there is no standard measurement.
Ø Wear a heart pacemaker: Yunmai smart scale will transmit weak electric current
when measure body statistics, it will affect the device normally working. So we
suggest not to weight on Yunmai smart scale if wear a heart pacemaker. Or wear
slippers for only measure weight.
Ø Athlete and people who are fitness coach: Because there is a big difference
between athlete and normal users. Athlete has a higher physical quality, while
Yunmai smart scale intend to measure normal users, so that there might be a big
difference stats for athlete comparing to hand held body fat meter. Yunmai is going to
improve our target user and measurements soon.
Ø About hemodialysis and dropsy condition: There is a weak electric current when
you step on the scale to measure body impedance, but the lightly electronic is no
harmful. However, it is better to not measure the stats for hemodialysis or people who
are in dropsy condition.
7. There is no difference after defecating, why?
Normally, body weight changes all the time. Body weight is almost composed by water, fat,
muscle, and bone. After your defecating, there will be a decrease of your weight. However,
Yunmai smart scale only shows the digit after the decimal point that there might not show
the difference in a range in ±0.1KG. (eg. 63.76 and 63.83 are all showed 63.8 kg)
8. If I move the scale, will it still be precision?
The smart scale needs a highly precision that the inter sensor is sensitive to the change of the outer. It is very sensitive of the sensor. When you move the scale, the sensor would be activated, so that the scale will weigh itself at the same time. It is better to wait a moment to measure when you move the scale.
After you moving the scale, you can step on the scale lightly, and wait until ‘0’flash 3 times,
and then you can use it.
9. When is the best moment of a day to measure?
Body weight changes 1.5 to 2.5 kg in a day. As a reference, you can have a measurement
plan that measure your weight at the same time every day to decrease the mistakes by
natural behavior. Normally the best time to measure you weight is in the morning; after
defecating or before breakfast.
10. Why there is a difference of the stats in an hour?
Ø Your stats floats up and down based on your diet, exercise, and other ways. The
stats changes in different moments in a day, even there is not much more exercise.
Ø All the stats are calculated by the BIA measurement method, so it might influence the
stats if you step on the scale not in balance.
Ø It is better to stand on the center of the scale, and lean over a little bit and close to the
electrode slice.
Ø Please put the scale on a hard surface like tiles , and remove the soft stuffs if there is
11. iOS APP’s age setting is correct, however it shows under 18 in app, why?
You need to check your calendar is solar calendar. You can click setting-language and
region-calendar to switch to solar calendar.
12. What batteries does it use, and how often do the batteries have to be replaced?
It uses 4 AAA batteries. The battery has never run down in 2~3 months for high frequency
use.
13. What kind of measurement unit can I use?
It provides KG and LBS; you can pick up the unit from YUNMAI APP.
14. What is the maximum weight?
The max weight is 150kg. (The measurement range is 3 to 150 kg; 6 to 330 LBS.)
15. How does the scale know who is weighting on them?
It will know your general weight and body fat percent and can distinguish the user based
on that. My sister and I are generally the same weight (give or take) but my body fat is less
than hers so we both can use the scale with no problems. I just step on; it measures me,
and then tell me the user it assumes is using it. It’s never been wrong yet, but you can
change the user if it guessed wrong.
16. I am a frequent traveler for business purposes, I already purchase a YUNMAI scale,
will this withstand being on a luggage?
It’s a polished glass surface so you run risk of it being shattered. You would need to pack it
well between a lot of soft items like clothes or something.
17. Is this scale waterproof?
It is IPX 3, so you can step on it getting wet a little, and also can clean the surface with wet
towel.
18. How is the body fat measured?
It measures body weight and uses bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) to estimate body
fat percentage. Stand on the scale with bare feet. Your foot completes a circuit and it
calculates body fat by running a tiny bit of electricity through your body. You don’t feel
anything.
19. Can it be recalibrated if needed or does it do this automatically?
The scale does this automatically. The display will flash 0 for three times after weighting.
20. How do you sync the scale with the YUNMAI app?
After you add the scale, it will automatically sync with the app by Bluetooth every time you
run it.
21. Is it instant？How long do you have to stand on the scale before it tells you weight?
The scale displays weight and body fat immediately. It takes a short time to sync with your
app.
22. I am a bodybuilder. BMI does not apply accurate to me since I carry a lot of muscle
for my height. Will the body fat still be accurate?
YUNMAI uses bioelectrical impedance to measure body fat. Essentially it sends a wave
through your body and measures the resistance. It bases the body fat measurement off of
that. But later on YUNMAI will update the APP with body type option; pick up the right body
type to optimize the body stats.
23. Can this be used for multiple users?
Yes, the multiple users can track their separate goals from separate accounts. You have
to go through the full setup process for each unique account, but once setup, the scale can
tell different people apart by their weight. The scale can have up to 16 profiles. Enjoy your
new scale!
24. Does this scale integrate with the app on iOS8?
Yes, YUNMAI support iPhone 4S+, iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad iOS7.0 or version of Android
4.3 or above.
25. Can I switch my account in different device?
The scale transmits your data to your YUNMAI account. When you log into your account,
on whatever device, you’ll see the data.
Tips
Ø When you step on the scale, before finishing test, do not leave the scale or shake
your body
Ø Do not put the scale on the soft materials，like carton, books, yoga mat.
Ø If you need to measure more than one time constantly, please wait the display turned
off till 2 to 3 seconds.
Ø If you have moved the scale, you need to wait after the scale flashing 3 to 4 times for
calibration
Notice
Ø Yunmai Smart scale can offline cache data upper limit is 3000. So normally the data
can stored up to eight years if take one users store one data per day as example.
Ø The offline date stored in the smart scale will automatically sync to Yunmai App when
Bluetooth connected. And the offline date will be erased from smart scale.
Ø If you already have 16 accounts and you want to have one more account, there will
be a reminder about delete some users rarely used.
Ø Visitor is kind of different, the data won’t be sent to the cloud, so that there is no top
limit for data.
