Bell Ringer
1. Take out your planner and open it to today’s date. Before the bell
rings is the time to sharpen pencils. (This is the last week with this
written reminder. This is a daily expectation.)
2. Turn in supplies to the bins and any assignments to the class inbox.
3. If you didn’t finish the Achieve 3000 Level Set last class, get your
assigned computer. (The clipboard on top of the cart is available for
your reference.) Login and begin working on the Level Set. You must
answer the questions using nothing but your own knowledge.
4. Two students not taking the Level Set need to get the comp. books
and gently place them on your classmates’ desks.
5. Students who have finished the Level Set, answer the bell ringer on
the piece of paper you were given as you came into class, then sit
quietly and wait for further directions.

You Do: Second-Read Work Period
Turn to p. 314 and consider the Speaking
Performance Task.
On your own, separate piece of paper answer the

the room to reflect our thinking, when the time comes to
share out.
Be sure your notes/answers to the questions will help you
communicate your thinking and (when appropriate)
reference direct quotes from the text—including line
numbers! Your books won’t be moving with you!
z
We Do: Second-Read Share Out
Follow teacher’s directions and move about
the room, when asked.
In a clear, audible voice, share out your
response when called on.
