20 The Ministry of Env!ronment and Forests has examined the application It is noted thatproposal is for setting up of molasses based distillery (30 KLPD) to manufacture Rectified SpiritEthanol and Extra Neutral Alcohol based on continuous fermentation technology at VillageSana", Taluka Paranda, District Osrnanabad, Maharashtra The total land area availab!e is 130acres and the distillery olant is proposed to be set up withm the 2500 TeD sugar factorypremises in an area of 25 acres. No forest I~r~d arid R&R is involved The unit will run for 270days. Tota! cost of the project is Rs 22.00 Crores.~

3.0 MUiti-cyclone fallowed by bag fiiter alonqwith adequate stack height will be provided toboiler to control particulate emissions. The total water requirement (500 m5/day) will be met fromthe Kolcgaon dam and exi:>tillg bore weli wirrdn sugar factory ore-ruses. Spent w8sh generationwill be @ 8klikl of alcohol produced and treated in bio-rneihanation plant followed by oio-composting with press mud to achieve zero discharge. The power requirement (08 MW) will bemet from the Co-generation power plant (15 MW). Yeast siudge will be used as manure and flyash as per Fly Ash Notification, 1999 and subsequent amendments time to time

6.0 The proposal was considered by the Expert Appraise: Comnutte e (lnoustry-z) in its 10:"meeting held during 29\"-30:1' April, 2010 and 13th E,L\C (1-2) meeting held during 19:~-20tr,August. 2010 The Committee recommended the proposal for envrronrnentai clearance.

7.0 Based on the information submitted by the project proponent. the Ministry ofEnvironment and Forests hereby accords environmental clearance to above project under the

?--.. provisions of EIA Notification dated 14:' September 2UUb_ subject to the compliance of thefollowing Specific and General Condrtons:

A. SPECiFIC CONOITION$:
