Nicholas & Therese — Wedding InvitationsStills and art files for Nick and Therese’s Wedding Invitations. The brief specified a tailored invitation that represented both individuals whilst expressing

meeting in unity - expressed in the meeting of the two names in the centre of the invitation. This graphic device also invites the viewer to see the body of the invitation, as this is hidden from plain view until the

card is opened out. The front panels can also be folded backwards, thus displaying the important RSVP and direction information. Gold foiling adds flair and class to the names of the betrothed and the main message.

Jess & Rob — Save the Date InvitationsThe brief for this project was to create an attractive and clearly understood ‘Save the Date’ invitation, before the formal invitations for the client’s Wedding had been sent out. Photography services were also provided, requiring a flexible approach given one of the models was a puppy only a few weeks old!

The photo shoot was timed to capture the Wellington sunset, to provide some warmth to the images.

Jess & Rob — Formal Invitation Inserts The work pictured below and to the right forms part of the Formal Invitations that were produced for Jess and Rob, following the Save the Date magnet invitations shown on the previous page.

These had to provide a lot of detail in terms of addresses, registry information and the schedule for the day, hence my decision to illustrate some of this information via an infographic (right). This also assisted the venue staff in their preparations for the day.

Adopting a crisp 2D style in the couple’s Wedding colours proved a valuable solution, and some of the artwork was repeated in part for packaging of Party Favours and the Seating Chart.

Immigration ONLINE - Student

International students wanting to study inNew Zealand will soon be able to complete and submit their visa application online.

• Immigration ONLINE - Student will be available from around mid-2014. It will allow online applications from full fee-paying students, scholarship students, exchange students and English language students.

• Later this year, improvements to Immigration ONLINE-Student will allow agents to submit online applications on behalf of their student clients.

International students will be the first customers able to apply for a visa on Immigration New Zealand’s new technology platform known as Immigration ONLINE.

• Immigration ONLINE will improve customer service and achieve better immigration outcomes for New Zealand.

• Immigration ONLINE services will be rolled out progressively during the next two years.

• Eventually, Immigration ONLINE will make the full visa process – from application, through processing to final decision – available online for most visa applicants. This will include uploading passport details and other documents, and access by selected third parties who represent clients, such as education agents.

Information for education agents and providers

Immigration New Zealand wants to continue working with you.

• INZ values the work of education agents in bringing skilled and talented students to study in New Zealand. We want this relationship to continue.

• INZ regards education agents and education providers as partners in our business.

April 2014

Why the delay between introducing Immigration ONLINE - Student and allowing education agents to apply on behalf of a student?

Immigration ONLINE - Student is expected to become available in the second quarter of 2014, though ‘apply on behalf’ is not expected until late 2014. This is because more time is needed to develop and test the ‘apply on behalf’ service before introducing it.

Can agents or providers help students fill out an online application before ‘apply on behalf’ is available?

Yes, though the student must still complete the form and the declaration at the end of it.

When ‘apply on behalf’ is introduced, will students be able to complete the form but allow agents or providers access to check, amend and submit the form to Immigration New Zealand?

The details of ‘apply on behalf’ are still being worked out, but just like paper forms it will be important that the form is not altered without the applicant’s knowledge before it is submitted.

When and how will education agents be able to create their own accounts on an Immigration ONLINE portal?

Full third party access through online portals is not scheduled until 2015. Third parties such as education agents will need to register with Immigration ONLINE once third party access becomes available. Once registered, third parties will be able to access their own accounts. Registration requirements are yet to be developed. After registering and creating their accounts, third parties will be able to access their client records through these accounts. Details are still being developed.

Will it be possible for education agents to both lodge and track online applications?

The ability to track applications would form part of a wider suite of third party services, known as ‘portals’ – development of portals has not yet started.

Will offshore student agents be able to submit applications through their own portal?

Both offshore and onshore-based agents will have third party access when portals become available.

Will agents still have direct access to case officers?

Nothing about how the applications are processed, including contact between agents and case officers, will change as part of the rollout of online forms. The main change is to the way applications are made (i.e. online), not how they are handled once received by Immigration New Zealand.

Will online applications become compulsory?

No – all current methods of making student visa applications will remain available, including paper applications.
