Lime Kiln Ride reportAttached map Blue-green line is propose trail and the dark pink line is our GPS data. We had some sick riders, so we only got the first section checked. Will ride the bigger loops at a later date, but the first 3 miles are basically located in washes, drainages, or arroyos.

Photos of portions of the proposed trail following the drainage and old cow trail. The currently proposed trail is located besides the low spots and drainage for approximately the first mile. Then it passes next to a stock watering tank. While this is a very good benefit for equestrian, I can see an issue if you have a hiker or a mountain biker who may accidentally get in between an aggressive momma cow and her baby. Safety of the users should be considered at that location.

Trail entry into the major drainages. Proposed trail follows the arrow as shown below. At one point we had to ride down the middle of the arroyo for several feet before we could cross over. Proposed trail crosses the drainage 3-4 times in the short section.

Current location of Equestrian parking. It’s flat, out of any drainages, and has room for many trailers and parking spots.
