ZYTO Technology: Who are they? History/Development

ZYTO corp. was founded by Dr. Vaughn R Cook, OMD in 2004.– Dr. Cook has developed two computer-based

systems used by healthcare professionals around the world. These operating systems facilitate the transfer of information between computers and people.

Compass Scan: How it works ZYTO technologies liken

the Compass scan to a conversation between the computer and body.

The compass is used to gather subconscious information from the body. – The hand cradle is the

primary interface between a person using the Compass and the computer.

With your hand on the hand cradle the computer initiates a bio-survey which will report the bodies preferential selection of certain nutrients.

Compass Scan: how it works The Compass Scan software

measures very small shifts of electrical conductivity on the hand (or any part of the body), these shifts are known as Galvanic Skin Response (GSR). – GSR - is an established

technology that measures fluctuations of electrical conductivity of the skin as the body responds to various stimuli.

A lie detector test is a commonly known example of GSR technology in use.

The computer software of the ZYTO Compass sends a sequence of subtle stimuli to the body and the body “responds” to those stimuli.– Response are analyzed and

the results are supposed to provide information to the practitioner/user/patient about the bodies biological preference toward a certain supplements or treatment options.

Compass Scan: How it works GSR - in the1940’s Dr. Reinhardt Voll discovered that the

electrical resistance of the human body is not homogenous and that energy lines existed over the body which could be demonstrated as electrical fields.

– This is the basic concept for all of the frequency-based medical decision technology devices (Bio-meridian) on the market today including ZYTO Compass and the rest of the professional line of devices developed by ZYTO corp.

In the 1950’s Dr. Voll had documented that the body had at least 1000 points on the skin which followed the 12 lines of the classical Chinese meridians.

In theory frequency-based GSR bio-communicating devices, like ZYTO, can be programmed to assess the stress-related biological susceptibility, body responses and they can also define a cause of the stress in the body and what further medical investigation or treatment would be appropriate for that individual at the time of the evaluation.

scan is to provide an additional tool for practitioners and health professionals to use to help patients obtain a greater state of health

– In addition to a practitioners experience, education, intuition, health questionnaires, a patients medical history etc., the compass provides an additional targeted way to determine a patients health needs.

It allows the practitioner and patient to give a voice to the body so it can share what it needs at any given time.

Compass Scan: Purpose The compass can analyze 100’s of

nutritional supplements within a few minuets, and determine which ones will help a person most at that given time.

– These results help practitioners to maximize a patients financial contribution when purchasing nutritional supplements because in theory you are giving the patient what they prefer biologically, which may help more readily than some other treatment/nutritional option.

Compass Scan: Explanation to patients

The Compass measures 76 bio-markers in your body. It records the bio-frequency of each marker for what is “in balance” or “out of balance” aka: “out of range”. (as seen on the previous slide)

The scan measures points such as the meridians of the body, teeth meridians. spinal cord/nervous system information, respiratory, circulatory, cardiovascular.

– Compass software is looking to see if the stimulus create a greater degree of coherence or less coherence in the body. (see picture)

Compass looks for the exact nutritional supplement (that is preloaded in the software) which will bring the body back into range/balance.

The products the body prefers are ranked by how many BioMarkers are bought into balance with the particular product.

Compass Scan: Explanation to patients The hand cradle of the Compass allows your body to interact

with and talk to the computer. It does this by sending digital signals to your body and measures your body’s responses to them.

When the Compass registers an imbalance, it shows up on the report as bio-markers out of range. The Compass then looks for the exact nutritional supplement your body prefers to bring each one of those bio-markers back into range or balance.

The products the body prefers is then ranked by how many BioMarkers are brought into balance with this product. Consecutive products are then added to continue to bring the

rest of the BioMarkers into balance thus brining the patient into “balance”.

Patient was experiencing cold and flu like symptoms, including favor, muscle aches, chills, urinary symptoms.

All of the products that came up in the bio-survey were associated with his current illness. He had some bacteria overgrowth (candida clear), was in a weakened immune and inflammatory state (nature’s phenylltol, Caprylimune phosphorus). He was experiencing some muscle aches and pains (deep relief) and urinary symptoms (p-x).

Compass Scan: Research There have not been any specific research done on the Compass Scan itself.

There has been research complete on another similar product produced by ZYTO Corp. called Balance 3.0, used by medical professionals.

– The system is similar to the Compass scan but is much more medically detailed and includes 1000’s of health issues/diagnostic criteria to scan for. It will produce a report not with supplements to give a patient but what body systems and/or organs there might be a physiological manifestation of illness including chronic or acute disease.

A clinical study with the Compass in the future might include 300 patients who undergo a physical examination by a doctor and a Bio-Survey. For both procedures prescriptive choices and supplements are recommended.

– 150 clients could receive the traditional prescriptive choices/medications from the physician for 3 months while the other 150 individuals could receive the supplements from the Bio-Survey for 3 months.

– Comparison of the compass scan bio-survey results to those of the medical professionals in terms of diagnosis for all 300 patients to evaluate the reliability and efficacy of the Compass Scan compared to that of a medical professional would be analyzed for congruency.

– In addition, when looking at the two groups individually - those taking medications or those taking supplements it would be useful to see what group of individuals improves more over the 3 month time period. Evaluating symptoms, diagnostic testing, re-evaluation by another health professional, patient observation form ect. could all be complete to determine results.

Compass Scan: Research According to the company

ZYTO technology involves information theory, physics and biology. – They report that individually

each disciplines has several studies that validate the unique components that make up their technology.

– They point to several studies over the last century relating to GSR and its use in measuring the body’s reaction to stimuli.

Although specific examples are not give on their web site ZYTO claims that multiple “health professionals” have conducted successful studies using ZYTO’s technology.

The one documented study found involved an extended research study in China that showed a high correlation between ZYTO technology results and physician choices.

Compass Scan: Research About the study: Remote Health Assessment Using a

Frequency-Based GSR Stress Bio- Survey Technology: A Pilot Study in China.

– 200 Beijing residents - 140 males and 60 female ages 22-70 years old participated in the study. Each subject underwent a two day physical exam at the Physical Health Examination Center, Chinese PLA General Hospital in Beijing and a subsiquant 4 minute assessment with a frequency-based GSR stress bio-survey instrument. The data of both assessments were collected and analyzed.

– The results showed 87% congruency in the disease assessment of two or more of the four primary diagnosed unhealthy or stressed organ systems.

– The purpose of this study was to assess the feasibility of using a remote frequency- based GSR bio-survey to screen individuals in rural communities, seeking medical assessment. Often times in these communities traditional access to health care is extreemly limited.

Compass Scan: Patient selection/Who can be scanned?

This product can safely be used on any patient willing to have a Compass Assessment.

– There are no known side effects or contraindications for the use of the Compass Scan or other GSR frequency-based Bio-meridian technologies.

– There are no warnings or notifications that state any restrictions for use of the Compass scan on a certain age group, gender or population of people.

– The Compass scan is recognized as safe for all individuals

Zyto Corp. specifically addresses the question of whether you can use the Compass Scan on small children. According their their website:

– “For small children you simply want to make sure that they are able to make contact with all six of the connector points on the hand cradle. This is often possible if they put both hands on the cradle. if the child cannot cover all of the connector points on the hand cradle with their hands you can instead place the hand cradle on the abdomen of the child.”

Compass Scan: Conclusion When you purchase the

Compass System there is a fee of $399 in addition to a monthly subscription of $39.95.

It is important to note that the ZYTO Compass does not qualify as a medical device and therefore does not require FDA registration as this time.

According to their website the ZYTO Compass is a tool designed to assist a person in determining the body’s preference for an item.– It is not intended to treat,

cure or prevent disease.– This information provided by

a Bio-survey should only be used to make better decisions about personal health and preference for nutritional supplements.

– The results of a Compass assessment are not intended to be diagnostic and they should not be interpreted as such.

Compass Scan: Conclusion Use the compass as a tool, not at the primary reason for a patients visit. It is

a tool that helps to direct you as a practitioner. Get to know the patient, assess their personality, how motivated are they, be sure to ask the client questions and get to know him or her.

– we must educate, teach and direct our clients into changing there lifestyle we can’t just substitute drugs for vitamins/herbs

– Using intuition, patients past medical history, age, sex, gender to make recommendations to our patients is just as important and utilizing the tools available to us.

– It is important we use our knowledge, education and intuition to choose the right product for the patient not simply what the Compass or any tool/book tells us.

– The Compass scan is a valid and reliable tool that can give a voice to the body. The ZYTO Compass allows a practitioner to expand their reach to many

more products in a particular product line. – If a patient presents with a problem, without the compass we might pick out a

nutritional protocol that helps but it may not be as well defined and the scope of products we think of using may not be as diverse as it would be with the help of a tool like the Zyto compass.
