The maximum temperature in Prothrapur block will be 29.4 to 31.3 o C with minimum temperature of 24.6 to 25.7 o C, whereas the maximum and minimum relative humidity is expected to be in the range of 69 to 70 %, and 57 to 60 % respectively in Prothrapur block. Wind speed of 16.0 to 23.0 km/h is expected from North Easterly direction.

The maximum temperature in Little Andaman block will be 29.8 to 30.3 o C with minimum temperature of 24.9 to 25.7 o C, whereas the maximum and minimum relative humidity is expected to be in the range of 73 to 76 %, and 62 to 71 % respectively in Little Andaman block. Wind speed of 19.0 to 25.0 km/h is expected from North Easterly direction.

NICOBAR Cloudy weather with light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur during next five days. In Nan-cowrie block 14.3 mm of rainfall is expected during this period. The maximum temperature in Nan-cowrie block will be 29.1 to 29.9 oC with minimum temperature of 24.9 to 25.2 oC, whereas the maximum and minimum relative humidity is expected to be in the range of 79 to 82 %, and 73 to 79 % respectively in Nan-cowrie block. Wind speed of 19 to 36 km/h is expected from North Easterly direction. Partly cloudy weather with light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur during next five days. In Car-Nicobar block 20.9 mm of rainfall is expected during this period. The maximum temperature in Car-Nicobar block will be 29.5 to 30.5 o C with minimum temperature of 24.7 to 25.2 o C, whereas the maximum and minimum relative humidity is expected to be in the range of 77 to 81 %, and 73 to 76 % respectively in Car-Nicobar block. Wind speed of 26 to 36 km/h is expected from North Easterly direction. Partly cloudy weather with light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur during next five days. In Campbell-Bay block 15.4 mm of rainfall is expected during this period. The maximum temperature in Campbell-Bay block will be 29.2 to 30.0 o C with minimum temperature of 24.8 to 25.3 o C, whereas the maximum and minimum relative humidity is expected to be in the range of 78 to 81 %, and 76 to 78 % respectively in Campbell-Bay block. Wind speed of 23 to 36 km/h is expected from North Easterly direction.

Advisory

Potato Planting Seed treatment by dipping in the fungicidal solution (for 30 minutes), prepared by mixing (Carbendazim 1g + Mancozeb 2g) per litre of water.

Wheat Sowing If moisture permits, wheat can be sown using Zero Tillage machine. Ginger Leaf spot,

Rhizome rot Apply hexaconazole @1ml/lit of water as foliar spray if ash colour spots develop on leaves. Spray with (Metalaxyl 8% + mancozeb 64%) @ 2g/lit of water as soil drenching followed by ca-oxychloride @ 4g/lit of water.

Turmeric Leaf spot ,Leaf blotch

Rusty colour spots, parallel to the side vein ,develop on leaves and also some patches of necrotic tissue may appear on leaves. In such cases apply propiconazole @1 ml/lit of water ,tarcr @ 7 days interval.

Legume vegetable

Reproductive Aphid, white fly

For Aphid control of Lab Lab bean apply Ash in case of lower infestation and in case of heavy infestation Thiomethoxam 0.3 SG @1g/3 lit.. of water may be applied.

Cucurbits Fruiting Fruit Fly White fly, Mosaic

Collection and destruction of fruit fly infested fruits. Installation of pheromone trap @ 2/Bigha. For white fly apply clothianidin 50 WDG@ 3g/10lit. of water. For mosic uproot the infected plant and spray systemic insecticide. Due to poor pollination fruit setting in such case apply Boron 20% @ 2g/lit. of water to enhance fertilization at fruit setting. Do not use any pesticide and insecticide during flowering and fruit setting.

Crucifers Sowing Prepare raised bed for sowing. Apply Trichoderma mixed with organic manure @ 5g/kg of manure in seed bed 7 days before sowimg. Treat the seeds with Carbendazim @ 2g/kg of seed before sowing.

Brinjal Vegetative Fruiting,

fruit and shoot borer Nematode White fly, Jassid, Fruit rot

For the management of fruit and shoot borer one application of coragen @ 4 ml/tank. Cleanliness to be maintained. Apply Thiomethoxam 0.3 SG @1g/3lit. of water to manage sucking pests infestation. For nematode problem apply Fipronil 0.3G @1.5 Kg/Bigha followed by a light irrigation or Nimitz 480 EC@ 4-8 lit/ha. could be applied against root knot nematode. For white fly and jassid, apply Acetamiprid 20% SP@1g/3lit or Thiomithoxam 0.3 SG 1g/3lit of water. Avoid touching of fruits with soil to avoid rotting of fruits.

Chilli vegetative Aphid, white fly, Thrips Yellow mite

For Aphid, hoppers, white fly and thrips apply Imidaclorprid 17.8 SL@1ml/5lit. of water or thiomethoxam @1g/3lit of water. For yellow mite apply propergite 2.5 ml/lt. of water.

Cattle and Buffalo

Non specific Diarrhoea, FMD The cattle populations are supposed to suffer from non-specific diarrhea during this, mid rainy season due to water borne infections. Any gut acting antibacterial along with ruminotoric preparation may lead to satisfactory result. FMD may also consider during this hot humid condition may be controlled with appropriate Vaccination coverage. Anthelminitics of course for animals in proper doses is also advisible for better production performance.

Chicken pox Care for day old chiks with proper brooding, ventilation and management may reduce the mortality percent. A course of antibacterial for 3-5 days is recommended for pasting vent condition supposed to occurs during rainy season. Immunization against ND (Ranikhet) is recommended as scheduled.

Possibility of clear sky and no rain on 4thto 8thDecemberharvesting, sunning and winnowing may be done at this time. As per NOAA/VIIRS/BLENDED NDVI composite ending on weeks no 47 (18.11.2019 to 24.11.19) over agricultural region Malda district’s Agricultural Vigour is moderate and as per Standardized Precipitation Index cumulative 4 weeks for the period 31st October to 27th November, 2019, Malda district exist mildly wet condition.

Paddy Harvesting If not yet completed then immediately complete rice harvesting. Keep the stubbles in field. Never burn the stubbles at field.

Lentil Sowing

In the standing stubbles of rice field, broad cast the lentil seed with no land preparation 25 kg of 10:26:26 kg/bigha may applied as starts dose. Seeds must be treated with carbendazium @ 2g/kg seed first and then with proper Rhizobium culture. Otherwise lentil may be sown by following conventional method by preparing land. Seed rate will be 4kg/bigha.

Mustard Sowing White mustard may be sown at this time. B-9, Jhumka are good verities. Seed treatment with Mancozeb 63% w.p. and Carbendazium 12% w.p. @ 3g/kg of seed.

Garden Pea Sowing Sowing of garden pea in the main field, before sowing seed should be treated with bavistin or mancozeb @ 2gram/kg of seed.

Potato Sowing

Potato may be sowing at this time. Tubers must be treated before planting with carboxin 37.5% w.p. + thiram 37.5% @ 2g/kg seed. Fertilizer 15kg urea+85kg SSP+20kg MOP and 150 kg FYM may be applied.

Goat & Sheep Vaccine PPR Goat and Sheep must be vaccinated against PPR once every three years.

Fishery Stock Ulcer Apply CIFAX @ 1lit/ha-m for three months as required to control ulcer disease of fish.

Undulating Red and Laterite Zone Crop Stage Problem Advisory

MUSTARD Mustard: For the control of mustard aphid spray Imidachlorpid@ 0.2-0.3 grams per litre

of water, preferably in the evening time

POTATO Potato: Apply 31 kgs of Urea as the first top dressing at around 25-30 days after planting of tubers followed by earthing up

Andaman & Nicobar Islands For North and Middle Andaman

Crop/Livestock Stage Weather based agro advisories

Vegetable Transplant Dip seedling of chilly in 1 % Trichoderma solution for one hour before transplanting.

Vegetable harveting Harvest amaranthus/ radish for vegetable purpose to avoid drying and harness the good market.

Vegetable Vegetative Do weeding and provide light irrigation in vegetable if the soil is dry, during evening hours.

Poultry Adult

To cure coccidiosis in backyard poultry, provide Amprolium oral medicine and sulfa drugs after consultation with nearby veterinary clinic.

For South Andaman
