Deep Learning (sometimes known as deep

structured learning) is a subset of machine

learning, where machines employ artificial neural

networks to process information. AutoML the new

way of doing deep learning, a change in the

entire system. Inspired by biological nodes in the

human body,deep learning helps computers to

quickly recognize and process images and

speech. Computers then "learn" what these

images or sounds represent and build an

enormous database of stored knowledge for

future tasks It has networks capable of learning

unsupervised from data that is unstructured or

unlabeled. Also known as deep neural learning or

deep neural network.The artificial neural networks

are built like the human brain, with neuron nodes

connected together like a web. While traditional

programs build analysis with data in a linear way,

the hierarchical function of deep learning

systems enables machines to process data with a

nonlinear approach.

ABOUT FDP

This FDP is aimed to provide in-depth understanding

of core concepts behind AR and VR technologies,

architecture, virtual hardware and software,

applications, and hands-on training using state of the

art tools, and will equip the participant with the skills

necessary to apply these tools and techniques to solve

complex scientific and business problems. Augmented

Reality (AR) is an interactive experience of a real-

world environment where the objects that reside in the

real world are enhanced by computer-generated

perceptual information. Virtual Reality (VR) is a

hardware innovation. An input and output device that

provide intuitive control and deeper level immersion

of digital experiences. VR is best used for storytelling

and conveying experiences.

ABOUT THE INSTITUTION

Velalar College of Engineering and Technology is a Self-financing Co-Educational Autonomous Institution established in the year2001 with all the necessary infrastructural facilities provided by Vellalar Educational Trust that ably governs the institution. The college aims to achieve excellence in Engineering education, with a strong emphasis on the uplift of rural students who have only limited avenues for higher education. The Institution has completed years of dedicated and excellent service in the field of technical education. ABOUT THE FDP

Kotlin is a general-purpose programming language, meaning it can be applied in a variety of spheres. Usually, Kotlin is used for cross-platform mobile, Android, JavaScript, and server-side developmmigrate the entire application to a distinct operating system. Creators of the Kotlin programming language encourage developers to build applications step-by-step, starting with a single module or feature, testing it and only them moving to other parts. Kotlin splits business logic and user interface, allowing creating fully native UI and app appearance. The programming language allows developers to use already written code and modify it for iOS. This FDP aims to introduce the concept of Kotlin and will make the change in the world of programming.

Kotlin: The next frontier in Metaprogramming is a 5-Day AICTE sponsored FDP, that

was conducted from 5th to 9th July 2021 in these 147 participants from different states have

Ms.B.H.Kavya initially worked in Starsoft

Technology and Happiest minds technology,

Mysore and currently she is working as a Senior

Software Engineer in L&T Technology Services,

Bengaluru. She has around 10 years of experience

and 6+ years of experience in mobile application

development such as Android, Java and Kotlin.

Besides, she is even an expert in hybrid application.

Ms. V.Leela has completed her undergraduate in

B.Tech and post graduate in ME- Computer Science

and Engineering in Velalar College of Engineering

and Technology, Erode. She has 9 years of

experience in teaching at the Velalar College of

Engineering and Technology. She has presented

papers in 5 international conferences and 8 national

conferences. Moreover, she has published 10 papers

in national and international journal.

Dr.N.Jayanthi did her B.E, in EEE and M.E., in CSE.

She's got a Ph.D in Instrumentation and Controls

Engineering. She worked in various institutions and

has more than sixteen years of academic experience.

She received copyrights for 3 software products. In

addition, she also owns a patent. She has published

around 11 journals and attended multitudes of

conferences and career development programs. She

has published three books and also established a

Research and Consultancy Cell for CSE department.

Also, she has organized 4 value added courses.

Dr.S.Viveka has completed her MCA at Bharathiyar

University and Post graduate – Computer Science and

Engineering at Velalar College of Engineering and

Technology. She has also got a Doctorate at Anna

University, Chennai. She has more than ten years of

academic experience. Moreover, she has organized 4

workshops and presented papers in 8 conferences. Her

articles have been published in 5 journals. She has

received copyright for Data processing equipment as

well as peripheral apparatus and devices and also filed

a patent.

India Private Ltd., as a Junior Software Engineer

and has a teaching experience of about 16+ years in

various institutions. Now, she's currently working

as a Professor in Velalar College of Engineering

and Technology, Thindal. Her article had been

published in 13 journals and she has presented

papers in 7 conferences. Above all She has

organized 2 workshops and delivered 3 guest

lectures.

Dr.K.Ganesh Kumar has completed his UG in

B.Tech-Information Technology at Velalar College

of Engineering and Technology, Thindal and Post

graduate in ME – Computer Science and

Engineering. He also obtained his Doctorate at

Anna University, Chennai. He has around 12+

years of academic experience. Moreover, he has

organized 3 workshops, presented papers in 2

conferences and his articles have been published in

Parallel and Distributed Systems. Her article had

Dr.R.DeviPriya has 2 years of industrial and 11

years of academic experience. Her Area of

specialization is Data Warehousing and Data

Mining, Optimization Techniques. She completed

three consultancy projects. Her article had been

published in 34 International journals and

presented papers in 11 National conferences and 7

International Conferences. She has published 4

Dr.K.Kousalya has an academic experience of 23

Area of specialization is Cloud Computing, Deep

Learning. Her article had been published in 42

International journals and presented papers in 16

National conferences and 26 International

Conferences. She has organized 16 Seminars and

workshops. She received Longest Continuous

SBC Award from Computer Society of India in the

year 2017, 2018 and 2019.

INAUGURAL CEREMONY

AICTE has taken various quality initiatives to promote technical education in the

country which also includes enhanced impetus on development of the faculty

teaching in the colleges across the country. The AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL)

Academy is one of its initiatives which has been conducting various Faculty

Development Programme for imparting/ upgrading faculty knowledge in thrust and

emerging areas. Given the COVID- 19 backdrop, this year Approx. 1500 FDPs in

various emerging areas are going to be conducted in online mode and 72 such FDP

are starting on 05th July 2021. These seventy two FDPs are being conducted by various

renowned organizations of the country.

Hon'ble Director IIT Indore, Prof. Neelesh Kumar Jain is going to be the chief guest of

the ceremony. Hon'ble Chairman AICTE will also grace the occasion online on 5th

July 2021 at 11 am.
