Pursuant to Article 11 of the LoA oouzoLuRoLAC of 28 June 2011- between UNEP and uNDp on the project titled: "lncreasing the resilience of vulnerable groups and ecosystems to climate shocks in the Dominican Republic" the Parties agree to amend the Agreement. 1) The purpose of this Amendment is to extend the period of the LOA for an add¡t¡onal l-5 months, establishing the finishing date of December 2013 as ¡t is required for consistence with the joint Project Document which has been extended for this period of time. In addition this Amendment adjusts the requirements for the payment instalments, as per established in components and activities in the Revision A ofthe Project Document. Furthermore it readjusts the d¡stribution ofthe funds according to the activitles planned, without making any changes to the total budget, which remains the same USD$ 367,200. (See annex 2) 1. ,,For the costs of identified activities as detailed in Annex 2, UNEP will pay UNDP us$
367,2OO (three hundred sixty-seven thousand two hundred dollars). Funds will be made
available in three performance-based ¡nstalments (except for the initial advance) as
indicated below:
a. An advance of USS 146,880 (one hundred forty six thousand eight hundred and eighty)
will be paid upon signature of this agreement by both parties;
b. A second payment of US$ 146,880 (one hundred forty six thousand eight hundred and
eighty) will be paid after receipt of a certified interim financial statement, showing the
usage of the first instalment and upon written confirmation by UNEP of satisfactory
progress of components 2 and 3 as per implementation plan (Annex 1); and
c. The remaining balance of us$ 73,440 (seventy three thousand four hundred and forty) or
any actual spent portion of it will be paid upon written confirmat¡on by UNEP of the
successful completion of all deliverables of the implementation plan (Annexl), and after
receipt by uNEP of final substantive and certified reports of expenditures incurred in
undertaking those tasks as per agreed budget (Annex 2)'
1.3. Annex 1 ofthe LoA, as amended by Amendment No 1 effective upon signature of both
parties, is hereby totally amended, as follows:
