It is a matter of great pride for me to know that the Tenth batch of my students from Amity Law School (ALS), Delhi is all set to graduate and take wings into the field of law.

I am happy to see that during their five years stay with us, these students have actively participated in Moot Court Competitions, Conferences, Seminars and other extra-curricular activities inherently important in a law school.

Apart from their regular participation with much fervor and gusto, they have also kept the ALS flag flying high by winning laurels both in India and overseas through exhibition of their talent, vast knowledge and excellent communication skills. It is most pleasing and enriching to see the level of dedication and commitment these students have demonstrated in absorbing all the facets of law. The extent of initiative, team work and enthusiasm possessed by them towards all activities concerning the Law School is exemplary.

It is due to their readiness to work hard, boundless urge to learn and to integrate in any situation that our students have been most sought after by most renowned law firms of the country, offering them to undergo internship training with them and enabling them to get guidance, motivation and support from experienced lawyers. Such efforts on the part of these law firms brought about the desired results and our students have made them feel proud with their contribution.

We have also been extremely privileged to be patronized by the support of several Hon’ble Judges of the judicial fraternity who with great urge have guided us for the growth of the institution over the years and we hope to enjoy their extended guidance also in future. I am extremely grateful to the torch-bearers in the arena of law for their advice and valuable counseling to the students which has immensely aided in shaping the Amity Law School and its becoming one of the top Ten Law Schools of the country.

I congratulate our worthy Director of Amity Law School - Prof. M.K. Balachandaran and his most capable faculty for putting in their untiring efforts for achieving and maintaining such high standards of quality as well as merit.

I strongly believe that our students shall serve this noble profession with the highest levels of honesty and sincerity in consonance with the aims, mission and philosophy of the Amity group of Institutions.

My blessings and good wishes would always remain with the students for reaching the pinnacle of success in their professional career.

thIt gives me immense pleasure to announce that the 10 batch of undergraduate students from Amity Law School, Delhi is set to graduate in May 2013. At ALSD, we have always aimed for the highest standards of research and education which can effectively encompass the growth and development of students. The industry perception and feedback about our students has constantly told us that the level of importance that we give in honing the researching skills as well as academic progress of our students is what makes them stand out from the others. We have received effusive praise for the inimitable competence and ethics of the ALSD students as regards their attitude towards the Bar and the judicial world in general. The fact that the students study close to 60 core subjects along with a myriad selection of elective courses also contributes largely to the exposure that they receive to different legal systems of the world.

Our students have participated and have tasted success at various moot court competitions at both the national as well as international levels. They have also bagged prestigious internships with various national law firms, corporate houses, research institutions and with the judiciary on their own merit and the work experience garnered by them through such institutions has equipped them with the necessary skill sets required to tackle the challenges and different circumstances that they will eventually have to face at the workplace.

It is my honest belief that the emphasis given by Amity Law School, Delhi on all round development has aided the students greatly by moulding them into conscientious citizens, dedicated individuals and most importantly industrious workers who also possess a sound knowledge in the field of law. This progress has also been facilitated by the brilliant examples set by the former students of the college who've built a reputation for themselves in their respective domain and are doing remarkably well today, making us immensely proud of our alumni. I sincerely reckon that given an opportunity, the students of this batch shall prove to be an indispensable asset to any organization where they're absorbed and shall strive towards contributing positively and fruitfully to the growth of that establishment as well as of the legal industry at large.

ABOUT THE BATCHEstablished in 1999, Amity Law School Delhi (ALSD) took shape under the auspices of

the Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF) with the sole purpose of providing

world-class legal education in the country. The graduating batch of 2013 is the first batch

from the Law School who will be awarded a BA, LL.B. (Hons) degree and this is attuned

with the multi-pronged approach and examination of the socio-legal problems

undertaken by the college in its methods of teaching.

The batch of 2013 has been instrumental in forming numerous associations and societies

which have always intended to take the study of law outside the classrooms and tinge it

with a practical approach. The Amity Student Journal Society, which has successfully

come out with two issues of the ALSD Student Journal, is an entirely student run initiative

and is the brainchild of the current final year students. The industry feedback on the

Journal has been nothing short of overwhelming. The ALSD Model United Nations

Society is yet another initiative which took shape with our batch. After having organized

three successive Intra Model United Nations Conferences by integrating them with the

syllabus of the successive batches, this group of dedicated MUN’ers experienced the

ultimate high when we successfully organized a national level MUN Conference in

January 2012. The level of participation and support which the event received from

everybody in the MUN circle just reiterates the fact that nascent or not, any activity

undertaken with sincerity and commitment shall always be welcomed and appreciated.

The Amity Legal Services Cell spearheaded by our batch with faculty assistance has also

marked its presence through the work done by it in its designated domain. Apart from the

aforementioned activities, the students of the 2013 batch have been a constant fixture in

all the prestigious national as well as international Moot Court Competitions, Seminars,

MUN Conferences, Parliamentary Debates, Paper Presentations etc by not merely

representing the college but also making it proud by winning accolades at these events on

a regular basis. So far as getting a taste of the professional world is concerned,

the students have interned at both top notch firms/lawyers and growing firms alike.

We have striven to hold the ALSD flag high by giving our best and absorbing as much of

practical knowledge about the field of law as we could possibly gain.

The batch of 2013 is a dynamic, motivated group, each of whom brings to the law school a

unique perspective and together, this group of 147 reflects a commitment to excellence

and has ambition and the drive to make it to the zenith in their respective careers.

The students of the graduating batch have consistently excelled in both the academic and

extra co-curricular activity

It has always been our sincere effort to ensure that University education goes beyond the

classroom walls and empowers the students to not just learn the law but imbibe it in all its

facets. And as we near the end of this amazing journey, the efforts seem to have paid off

because not only did we manage to break the mundane nature of studying a professional

course and create a new culture in the college itself, we also managed to have fun along

the way! Since we followed the golden rule to the hilt which so rightly says:

‘Be sincere, not serious’!
