About designing process…

There are three basic processes in the manufacture of a tire once the prepared raw materials are: making, shaping and firing. But first need to prepare and treat the different elements used in manufacturing. The design of the tire is fixed taking into account various characteristics such as adhesion, comfort, strength, performance and lifespan, these expectations Michelin covers for your customers. At the same time fulfilling the functions of transport, guide, transmit, cushion, roll and last.

Your tires work safely and effectively in both dry and wet conditions. In both scenarios guarantee the pressure withstand the assaults of the road and provide comfort and safety to the user.

In the design process the tire tread, are extremely important to achieve a high level of grip, braking capacity, performance and safety, especially when weather conditions are not favorable. That is perhaps one of the reasons why Michelin has 4,000 people dedicated to R + D + I, with the tire sector the largest budget.

The structure, materials and sculpture, are what determine the performance of the tires. A very elaborate interior design with an attractive exterior will not be worth anything at all with the public .The tire must not only provide grip, traction, grip and be a suspension element, but also have to make a good impression.Picture 2:tire compound layers

There are three basic processes in the manufacture of a tire once the prepared raw materials are: making, shaping and baking.

The pneumatic part of a mixture of different rubber compounds depending on the type of tire to be manufactured and the part of the tire where the rubber is used, but the rubber is the main component. This mixture was drawn into long strips which are stored in large rolls for later use. But the tires are not just made of rubber. To the carcass plies cables are needed. These plies are composed of parallel wires sandwiched between two layers of rubber

From this process, the tire begins "molded" and the final product is known as "green tire". First the components pass from the cylindrical shape to the O-ring, is already looking to the usual form of a tire. To perform this action of an inflation pressure to the central area of the tire, thereby swell and tensioned rubber layers is subjected. The rings created in the conversion approach each other. Then canvas belt and the top tread, which still does not have the usual drawings are wound on the ring.
