Luxury knows…
The world revolves around you.
Be it treasures you’ve long searched for,
forging new paths to places unknown,
learning of timeless empires and infinite beauty,
an evening stroll illuminated by a star-filled sky,
or an adventure that begins on board
and carries you ashore to roads less traveled.
True luxury knows every shade of you.
Every experience that brings you joy.
Making warm memories on a frozen tundra.
Marching with penguins, or staring in wide-eyed
wonder at Mother Nature’s greatest works.
Luxury knows.
Anticipates.
Senses.
It defines you and what you want.
Whether it’s truffle sauce, bearnaise sauce, or tomato sauce.
Chardonnay, Shirley Temples, or dining in private beneath
the Northern Lights, precisely as you wish.
True luxury knows the moments you will share on your voyage.
In eloquent silence that simply… sings.
Of extraordinary lives both loved and lived.
Crystal knows, even before you know.
Inspired by you.

CULTURAL DISCOVERY
MARIA ISLAND, TASMANIA, AUSTRALIASet within the turquoise waters of the Tasman
Sea, Maria Island hosts an idyllic national park
and “painted cliffs” dating to the Triassic period.
The mountainous island, formerly a penal colony,
became known as Tasmania’s Noah’s Ark in the
1960s when it welcomed a number of imperiled
Australian species needing protection. More than
125 bird species are found here, including emus
and endangered swift parrots and forty-spotted
pardalotes. Its diverse wildlife also includes bare-
nosed wombats, eastern grey kangaroos, red-
necked wallabies and ring-tailed possums.

ROSS ISLAND, ANTARCTICARoss Island is home to Scott’s ‘Terra Nova’ Hut at Cape Evans,
base for Captain Robert Scott’s ill-fated British Antarctic
Expedition of 1910–13, and Sir Ernest Shackleton’s hut at
Cape Royds, used as base for his attempt on the south pole
during his 1907–09 expedition, and also home to the world’s
southern-most penguin colony. Both huts sit remarkably
intact at the foot of Mt Erebus, an active volcano. Scott
named the island for Sir James Ross, who discovered it in

KAKE, ALASKAThe largest totem pole in the world is located in Kake — at least according to the
locals. Carved from a single tree, the 132-foot landmark overlooks a settlement
of about 500 residents. Nestled in the Tongass National Forest and blessed with
breathtaking scenery, the settlement is the historic home of the Kake tribe of
Tlingit (“People of the Tides”). Villagers retain many of their Tlingit traditions and
continue their subsistence-based lifestyle through hunting, fishing and lumbering.

of the last stomping grounds of the woolly mammoth.
Scientists have found astonishing fossil evidence of

SAN SEBASTIAN DE LA GOMERA, SPAINThe least-known of the Canary Islands, densely
wooded La Gomera is home to Garajonay National

laurel rainforest remaining on earth. Columbus
stopped for water in the little capital of San Sebastian
before crossing the Atlantic. He planned to stay four
days, but spent a month when he met the lovely
Beatriz de Bobadilla. On the sunny southwestern
coast in the breathtaking Valle Gran Rey, Vueltas is
a hot spot for dolphins and whale watching.

ANTARCTIC PENINSULA
ANTARCTIC PENINSULAExtending from the northern-most reaches of the Antarctic mainland, this 800-mile-long mountain range of ice and islands
jutting into the Weddell Sea on approach to the Drake Passage, is the Antarctica of dreams. The most accessible part of
the Great White Continent, here is where iconic tabular icebergs provide mesmerizing vistas, and where seals, seabirds, and
chinstrap and Gentoo penguins make their home. Zodiac adventures and landings reveal the wonder of this pristine and
captivating region.
