Statementof obiects and reasons

At present the Shri Badrinath-Shri Kedarnath Act, 1939 is enforced for themanagement of Shrl Badrinath and Shri Kedarnath Temple. Most of theseprovisions of this Act are no longer relevant in the present context, In'view of thisUttarakhand Char Dham -Fevasthan.am Managemen! Bjll, Z01g is being Brppose-d,

' 2-Apart from this, it is very important to rejuvenate Gangotri, Yamunotriand other famous temples. For this, it is necessary to make Legal provisions fortemples and Devasthanams located in Uttarakhand like Shri Vaishno Devi MataTemple established in Jammu and Kashmir, Sai Baba, Jagannath and Somnathtemples.

3-This Bill, thus will prove to be a milestone for the rejuvenation of ShriBadrinath, Shri Ke.darnath, Gangotri, yamunotri and other famous templeslocated in the State like Shri Vaishno Devi Mata Temple located in Jammu andKashmir, Sai Baba, Jagannath and Somnath temples.

4-The proposed Bill fulfills the above objectives.
