ABSTRACT• THE ROBOTIC MANIPULATOR ARM EXTENDSTHE FLEXIBILITY

OF WORKSTATION BY TRANSPORTING MATERIAL MORE EFFICIENT AND QUICKLY BETWEEN WORKTABLE,PERIPHERAL DEVICES AND ASSEMBLY LINES ETC.A SUB CLASS OF MORE GENERAL FAMILY OF ROBOTS,THE INDUSTRIAL ROBOTS.AN INDUSTRIAL ROBOT IS OFFICIALLY DEFINED BY ISO AS AN AUTOMATICALLY CONTROLLED,REPROGRAMMABLE IN THREE OR MORE AXES.DESPITE ITS NUMEROUS POSSIBLE USAGES,IT FINDS MOST WIDESPREAD USAGE IN MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY.

AIM OF THE PROJECT

• THE MAIN AIM OF OUR PROJECT IS TO BUILD A HYDRAULIC ARM THAT CAN GRIP OR PICK THINKS.

• WE HAVE IMPLEMENTED THE HYDRAULIC ARM THAT CAN BE CONTROLLED BY GESTURE COMMANDS.

• WE HAVE PROPOSED A SIMPLE ALGORITHM FOR HAND CONTROLLING.

INTRODUCTION

• HYDRAULIC ARM IS THE FUEL POWER BASE ARRANGEMENT BY WHICH INCLUDE THE GENERATION CONTROL AND APPLICATION OF SMOOTH,EFFECTIVE POWER OF PUMPED FLUIDS WHEN THIS POWER IS USED TO PROVIDE FORCE AND MOTION TO MECHANISM.

• THIS FORCE IS USED TO PUSHING,PULLING,RAGULATING,ROTATING ETC.THE HYDRAULIC ARM IS USED TO PULL THE SUBJECT FROM ONE PLACE AND MOVE IT TO OTHER PLACE.

PASCAL’S LAWPASCAL’S LAW IS KNOWN AS PRINCIPE OF TRANSMISSION OF FLUID PRESSURE.

PASCAL,S LAW IS STATES THAT PRESSURE EXERTED ANY WHERE IN A CONFINED INCOMPRESSIBLE FLUIDS TRANSMITTED EQUALLY IN ALL DIRECTIONS THROUGHOUT FLUID SUCH THAT THE PRESSURE VARIATIONS REMAINS SAME.

•THE POWER OF ROBOTIC ARM CAN EITHER BE ELECTRIC,HYDRAULIC,OR PNEUMATIC.

•HYDRAULICS IS PUTTING LIQUIDS UNDER PRESSURE.

•PNEUMATIC IS PUTTING GASES UNDER PRESSURE.

•THE POWER SUPPLY ACTS LIKE THE ROBOT’S HEART AND MUSCLES.IT PROVIDES THE ENERGY FOR PUSHING,PULLING,TURNING AND LIFTING.

APPLICATION

THE HYDRAULIC ARM THAT CAN GRIP OR PICK THINKS IN INDUSTRIAL PURPOSE.THESE ARMS ARE USED IN ASSEMBLY LINES OF MEGA FACTORIES TO ASSEMBLE THE VARIOUS PARTS OF PRODUCT AND ALSO TO PAINT VEHICLES.THEY ASRE ALSO USED IN EARTH MOVERS TO PICK UP HEAVY WEIGHT AND KEEP THEM WHERE REQUIRED.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS• WHEN PRESSING ON THE SYRINGE SYSTEM,BE SURE TO

PRESS ONLY THE INPUT PLUNGER WITH YOUR THUMB AND HOLD THE OUTPUT SYRINGE WITH YOUR OTHER HAND TO PREVENT THE SYRINGE FROM SEPARATION.

• DO NOT USE SYRINGE AS A “ SQUIRT GUN”.• WEAR SAFETY GLASSES.• FOLLOW NORMAL LABORATORY RULES.

ADVANTAGES• THE ROBOT USED CAN HAVE MANY INDUSTRIAL USES.• WHEN USED IN LOCOMOTIVE FORMAT CAN BE OF

GREAT USE IN THE PRODUCTION AND PACKING FIELD.• THE SIMPLICITY AND EASY TO REPAIR DESIGN MAKES

IT REALLY CHEAP.• COST IS LOW.• EASY TO DESIGN.

FUTURE SCOPE• IF MORE TIME AND MORE EFFORTS WOULD HAVE

BEEN PUT INTO THE MODEL,MORE COMPLEXY COULD HAVE BEEN BROUGHT OUT.

• MOREOVER INSTEAD OF MANUAL OPERATION OS SYRINGES COULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED BY PRE-DEFINED COMPUTER PROGRAM OR MERELY BY PRESSING SWITCH OPERATED.

CONCLUSIONTHIS HYDRAULIC ARM WILL-REACH THE GREATEST DISTANCE TO DELIVER GIVEN OBJECT. PICK UP THE HEAVIEST POSSIBLE OBJECT.DELIVER THE MOST OBJECT IN GIVEN AMOUNT OF TIME.HAVE THE SYSTEM TO WEIGHT THE OBJECTS IT PICKS UP.ROTATE AS WELL AS REACH GRAB.DIG AND RECOVER OBLECTS
