Hon’ble Sri. Justice K. N. Phaneedra, Karnataka High Court, was the guest of Honour. His Holiness Jagadguru Sree Shivrathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji graced the occasion. Dr. C.G. Betsurmath, Executive Secretary, JSS Mahavidypeetha presided over the programme. Prof. K.S.Suresh, Chief Executive, Sri. M.M.Prabhuswamy, Principal and Prof. P. Shivananda Bharathi, Controller of Examination were present on this occasion. 114 Law graduates including 15 rank holders from B.A. LLB, BBA. LLB, LLB and LLM were honoured and felicitated by the guests. 2. Orientation Programme for Freshers was conducted from 1 to 8 August, 2018. Academic Activities 1. 11th Graduation Day was held on 16 June, 2018. Hon’ble Sri. Justice K. N. Phaneedra,

Karnataka High Court, was the guest of Honour. His Holiness Jagadguru Sree Shivrathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji graced the occasion. Dr. C.G. Betsurmath, Executive Secretary, JSS Mahavidypeetha presided over the programme. Prof. K.S.Suresh, Chief Executive, Sri. M.M.Prabhuswamy, Principal and Prof. P. Shivananda Bharathi, Controller of Examination were present on this occasion. 114 Law graduates including 15 rank holders from B.A. LLB, BBA. LLB, LLB and LLM were honoured and felicitated by the guests.

2. Orientation Programme for Freshers was conducted from 1 to 8 August, 2018. The formal inauguration of the programme was done by the traditional lighting of the lamp by Hon’ble Judge Sri S. Sudindranath, III Additional District and Sessions Judge, Prof K.S. Suresh, Chief Executive, Prof M. M. Prabhuswamy, Principal and parents.

3. Institutional Collaboration was entered on 25.08.2018 between National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru and JSS Law College, coordinated by Sri A.T. Jagadish on research, legislative drafting and workshops/conferences to achieve the objectives of the two year long project from December 2017 on codifying, Consolidating and Reforming the Urban Planning and Development Laws, in the State of Karnataka, in association with the Directorate of Municipal Administration, Government of Karnataka with broad deliverable including drafts of policies and laws, incorporating refinement and amendments, as well as draft consolidation and codified law and policy, along with report.

4. On 24.09.2018 a MOU was executed between Ramakrishna Institute of Moral and Spiritual Education (RIMSE) and JSS Law College, coordinated by Sri A.T. Jagadish.

5. Personality Development Programme was conducted to I Semester - B.A, LL.B, BB.A., LL.B and LL.B students at Ramakrishna Institute of Moral and Spiritual Education (RIMSE) on 25.09.2018 and 26.09.2018 and nearly 180 students attended the programme accompanied by class teachers.

6. Prevention of Sexual Harassment Committee meeting was convened on 28.09.2018. 7. Mentors’ Cell and Students’ Academic Council meeting was convened on 01.10.18 at

Silver Jubilee Hall. 8. JSS Law College signed MOU with Career Prime Training Solutions on 04.10.18. 9. An exhibition on ‘Progressive Development of the Law of International Trade’ was

organised on 5.10.18 at the Silver Jubilee Hall. The students of VII semester BA/BBA LL.B participated as part of their practical activity. The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr T.R Maruthi, Former Chairman, Department of Studies in Law, University of Mysore, Mysuru. The Chief Executive, Prof K.S Suresh, Teacher Co-ordinators Dr N. Vani Shree, Smt Keerthana Gopan and other faculty members were present.

10. Parents’ Committee meeting was held on 12.10.18 at 3.30pm at the Board Room. 11. On 1.11.18 – Educational trip was arranged for the students of Environmental Law (IX

Semester B.A., & B.B.A, LL.B and V Semester LL.B) to Bannerghatta Biological Park, Bengaluru accompanied by the course teacher Smt Sheela Ganesh and the class teacher Smt P. Ashwini with 75 students. This educational visit was arranged to sensitize students on national park, biological resources and zoo management.

12. An exhibition ‘Lingua Franca’ on English was arranged by the course teacher Smt M.S. Nandini under IQAC at Silver Jubilee Hall on 2nd November, 2018 for students of first year B.A and B.B.A, LL.B.

13. Exhibition on ‘Media Exponere: Contra Bonos Mores’ was organised by the course teacher Smt Sheela Ganesh and V semester B.A., & B.B.A., LL.B students (Economic Offences) under IQAC on 10.11.18 at Silver Jubilee Hall. The exhibition was inaugurated by Sri. D. Chakrapani, Deputy Director of Prosecution, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Gulbarga Division, Chief Executive Prof K.S. Suresh, Dr S. Nataraju, Principal. It was followed by Special Lecture on ‘Anti-Corruption Laws and Role of Anti-Corruption Bureau’ by Sri. D. Chakrapani. Nearly 98 students participated and other staff members were also present.

14. JSS Law College signed MOU with Vidwath Academy for conducting Charted Accountancy classes in the month of December 2018.

15. Board of Studies – Under Graduate (BOS-UG) and Board of Studies – Post Graduate (BOS-PG) meetings were held on 22.12.18, forenoon and afternoon respectively at Board Room.

16. The Academic Council Meeting was convened on 03.01.19.

17. JSSLC Finance Committee meeting was convened on 14.01.19.

18. The Governing Body meeting was convened by the college on 19.01.19.

19. Educational Visit/Field Visit to JSS Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Suttur was arranged for the VI Semester B.A & B.B.A., LL.B students pursuing ‘Law & Agriculture’ course on 16.02.19 to

sensitise them with the basics of agriculture and allied activities. Ninety five students participated in the visit. Smt Sheela Ganesh - Course Teacher, Smt Swapna Jangamshetti and Sri Kumara accompanied the students.

20. Exhibition cum Competitions on Rural Games/Desi Games was organised by IV Semester B.A & B.B.A., LL.B Students (Sports Law) and Dr B.P.Mahesh on 23.02.19. Information relating to 100 traditional games played in India and across the globe was put for exhibition and nearly 15 traditional games were conducted for students and staff. R. Seshanna, Former Principal, Department of Studies in Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Mysore was the Chief Guest inaugurated the programme by playing aluguli mane with our Chief Executive. Prof K.S. Suresh, Chief Executive, Dr S. Nataraju, Principal and other staff members were present. The exhibition was thrown open for the students and staff after the formal inaugural and who participated in various traditional games such as aliguli mane, tiger and the calf, dog and the bone, hopscotch, ludo, snake and ladder, chor police, sack race, arm wrestling, pagede, top spinning, marbles etc. Coupons priced at Rs. 10 each were issued to the teachers and students for participating in such games and the fund so collected was donated to the martyr’s fund.

21. Students’ Academic Council meeting was convened on 13.03.19. 22. Parents Teachers’ meeting was held on 19.03.19. 23. Mentors’ Cell cum Mentees’ meeting was held on 20.03.19. 24. Jail visit to Central Prison, Mysuru was arranged on 22.03.19 by the Course Teacher Smt

Sheela Ganesh for IV Semester B.A., LL.B students (Psychology of Crime) to provide practical experience on the function of the prison institution, in which 60 students participated and were accompanied by faculty - Smt Sheela Ganesh and Smt S. Poornima.

25. On the occasion of World Theatre Day, the students of II Semester B.A., and B.B.A., LL.B took part in ‘Drama De La Corte’ - Courtroom Drama on 26.03.19. Ten plays were enacted by the students depicting themes related to defamation, cyber crimes, triple talaq, jury trial etc. The event was co-ordinated by Smt M. S. Nandini, the course teacher.

26. Foreign National Students’ meeting was held on 28.03.19. 27. Annual Parents Meet was convened on 13.04.2019. 28. Internal Assessment and Audit Committee visit/meeting was held on 29.04.19. Dr

Manjappa D Hosamane. Former Vice Chancellor Vijayanagara Sri Kirishnadevaraya University, Bellary, Sri V. Sudhindra Murthy, Advocate and Syndicate member, KSLU, Hubballi, Dr Sairam Bhat, Professor, NLSIU, Bengaluru visited the college.

29. Workshop on Mediation was organised on 3rd May to 5th May 2019 for final year students. Six master trainers from Bangalore Mediation centre trained the students.

30. Annual Alumni Meet was held on 11th May 2019.

31. The 12th Graduation Day of the college was held on 22.06.19 (4.00 pm) at Silver Jubilee

Hall in the gracious presence of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Rajendra

Mahaswamiji, Sutturu Srikshethra. The chief guests were Hon’ble Justice Sri Ravi

Malimath, Judge, High Court of Karnataka and Sri B. Shankrayya Vastramath, Principal

Secretary, Department of Law, Government of Karnataka. The programme was presided

over by Dr C.G. Betsurmath, Executive Secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha. Prof K.S. Suresh,

Chief Executive, Dr S. Nataraju, Principal, staff, students, parents, special invitees, legal

fraternity and other stakeholders were present. On this occasion the college awarded

Degree Certificates to 104 graduates (both UG and PG) and felicitated 15 rank holders

from and among Under Graduate and Post Graduate programmes. The Graduation Day

commenced with the invocation song by Sri K.S. Shravan, Under Graduate followed by

Welcome Speech by Prof K.S. Suresh, Chief Executive. Later, Dr C.G. Betsurmath,

Executive Secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha administered the Themisian Oath for the

fresh graduates.

32. On 29.06.19, the Karnataka State Law University – Local Inspection Committee (KSLU-

LIC) peer team visited and inspected the college for permanent affiliation.

Moot Club 1. JSSLC Moot Club organised 3 day inter-class Moot competitions during 25th, 26th and 31st

October 2018 for the college students in which 38 teams participated. The final round was held on 31.10.18 at the Silver Jubilee Hall. Sri S.L. K Vontigodi, Principal District Judge, Mysuru, Sri. N. Krishnaiah, IV Additional District Judge, Mysuru, Sr. C. Chandrashekar, VII Additional District Judge, Mysuru, were the judges for the finals. The finalist teams were from Petitioners’ side Mr Srisha Chandra, Mr Saakin Harish of VII Semester B.B.A, LL.B and Miss Shivashree – V Semester B.A, LL.B and from Respondents’ side Mr Arjun Unnikrishnan – VII Semester B.B.A, LL.B, Miss Neerja Rajesh – III Semester B.B.A,LL.B and Miss Kadeeja – VII Semester B.B.A, LL.B. The winning team were the respondents with 486 score points.

2. Amanuensis Moot Court (inter-college) Competition was jointly organised by ICSI – Mysuru Chapter and CII Yi Young Indian Mysuru Chapter in association with JSS Law College at JSS Law College premises on 07.09.2018 for degree students with Corporate Law in their course, coordinated by Sri A.T. Jagadish. Nearly 24 teams from various degree colleges participated in it. Cresta Degree College won the first prize.

3. Miss Chaitra J and Miss N A Hithyshi of IX Semester BBA.LL.B(Hons.) participated in National Moot Competition held at CMR Law School, Bengaluru during 5th to 7th October 2018.

4. Mr M.R Trishul and Miss H.M. Sahana of III Semester B.A.,LL.B participated in the Third State Level Kannada Moot Court Competition organised by Karnataka State Law University held during 23rd and 24th November, 2018.

5. Mr Arjun S. Unnikrishnan of VIII Semester B.B.A., LL.B, Mr C Thapo Shreshta of II Semester B.A., LL.B and Mr Arjun P.V of IV Semester B.A., LL.B participated and secured ‘Semi Finalist’ title during the XIX All India Moot Court Competition for Adv. T.S. Venkateshwara Iyer Memorial Ever rolling Trophy conducted by the Moot Court Club, His Highness Maharaja’s Government Law College, Ernakulam from 25th to 27th January 2019.

6. The 17th Surana & Surana National Corporate Law Moot Competition 2019 was organised by the college in association with Surana and Surana International Attorneys, Chennai from 08.02.19 to 10.02.19. The competition aims at enhancing the knowledge on the court mechanism, particularly stressing on the subjects of Corporate Laws and International Taxation Standards amongst the participants. Nearly 22 teams participated from across the country. Experts on Taxation, Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries, Judicial Officers and Advocates judged various rounds. o On 09.02.19 the programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Hon’ble Mr. Justice

Ashok G Ninjagannavar, Judge, High Court of Karnataka, the programme was presided by Dr C. G. Betsur Math, Executive Secretary, JSS MVP. Prof K.S. Suresh, Chief Executive, Dr. S. Ravichandran, Advocate and Head Academic Initiatives, SSIA were present. The Chief Guest in his inaugural speech motivated and inspired the participants and audience by highlighting how great teachers mould law students in their creativity, rational thinking to differentiate between right and wrong, he further quoted the seven lamps of advocacy by Edward Parry and stressed that more than money making with legal profession one should render service to the society in upholding justice.

o Valedictory Programme was held on 10.02.19 at Silver Jubilee Hall - Hon’ble Mr Justice Krishna S. Dixit, Judge, High Court of Karnataka (Valedictory Address), Prof (Dr) R. Venkata Rao, Vice Chancellor, NLSIU, Bengaluru (President), Guests of Honor was Smt S.V. Gowramma, Presideing Officer, DRT – II, Ernakulam, Kerala and Sri M. Dhyan Chinnappa, Senior Advocate, Crest Law Partners, Bengaluru, Sri Karthik Ranganathan, Chennai, Dr. S. Ravichandran, Advocate and Head Academic Initiatives, SSIA, Prof K.S. Suresh, Chief Executive, Prof M.P.Nagendra Murthy, Dr S. Nataraju, Principal and other staff members were present.

o Pointing toward the absence of Indian universities in the international ranking, High Court Judge Justice Krishna S Dixit in his valedictory speech said that despite the presence of many universities across the country, not even one university has featured in international level rankings. It is up to the students to ensure that our

universities are upgraded to international levels, he said. Justice Dixit further said: “Our country is known for knowledge and education, during the pre-historic period we had 13 great universities like Takshashila. Foreigners used to travel with great difficulty to come to learn from us”. Congratulating the participants of the competition, he said the participants of the completion fared better than a majority of the seasoned advocates. Vice-chancellor of National Law School of India, Bengaluru Prof R. Venkata Rao in his Presidential remark advised the law students to be true to their conscience when they land in their profession. By quoting Earl Warren of US SC asked the students to focus on alphabet ‘C’ (Client, Court and Conscience) – when there is conflict between interest of client and the interest of court then the interest of court should prevail, when there is conflict between interest of court and conscience – then the interest of conscience should prevail ultimately. He finally remarked that ‘the future is safe in the hands of young lawyers (mooters)’.

o In the competition, the team National Law University, Jodhpur represented by Preeti Gurnanai, Radhika Shukla and Rishabh Garodia secured the first prize followed by the team from National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi. Winy Daigavanve of National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi bagged the best speaker award while Poorna Poovamma K M of Gujarat National Law University received best student advocate award.

7. Miss Vidhula Deshak – IV Semester B.A., LL.B, Mr V. Sampreeth and Miss Amritha Bhaskar of VIII Semester B.B.A., LL.B participated in the 5th Damodaram Sanjivayya National Moot Court Competition held from 22.02.19 to 24.02.19 at Vishakapatnam.

8. Miss Fathima Ibrahim, Miss S. Mahalakshmi and Miss Anis Fahima – Final year students participated in the 14th All India Moot Court Competition 2019 for Justice V.R. Kirshna Iyer ever Rolling Trophy organised and held at Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram during 28.02.19 to 02.03.19. Miss Fathima Ibrahim won ‘Best Speaker’ and ‘Best Female Advocate’ titles.

9. Miss D.J. Nireeksha – VI Semester B.B.A., LL.B, Miss Saptami – VIII Semester B.B.A., LL.B and Miss Chinnamma – Final year LL.B participated and won the 2nd Best Memorial title in the 2nd National Moot Court Competition 2019, organised by Faculty of Law, PES University, Bengaluru between 01.03.19 and 03.03.19.

10. Miss M. Hima, Miss Bhavana S Rao and Mr P.S. Veeresh of II Semester B.A., LL.B participated in the 9th M.K.Nambyar Memorial National Level Moot Court Competition held in R.L.Law College of Belgavi, Belgavi during 08.03.19 to 10.03.19. Mr P.S. Veeresh won the Best Male Speaker award in the competition.

11. Miss Hrishika Suresh, IV Semester B.B.A., LL.B, Miss Swathi S Ganesh, II Semester B.B.A., LL.B and Miss Anindita Angadi, II Semester B.A., LL.B participated and were qualified for Octa Finals in the moot competition organised by M. S. Ramaiah and Surana & Surana Tort Law Moot, Bengaluru during 08.03.19 to 10.03.19.

12. Miss Rashmi Yesudas and Miss Vaishnavi Inamdar of VI Semester B.B.A, LL.B and Miss Pramila Jain – IV Semester B.B.A., LL.B participated in the Dr. V. Kesavankutty Memorial All India Moot Court Competition for M.L. Gupta Ever-Rolling Trophy 2019, organised by Government Law College, Kozhikode held from 08.03.19 to 10.03.19.

13. Mr M. S. Suhas and Miss Rishika A Jain of VIII Semester B.B.A., LL.B and Mr Akash Takur – IV Semester B.B.A., LL.B participated in the International Trade Law Moot Court Competition -2019 ‘Lex Orbis’ organised by SDM Law College, Mangalore during 14th to 16th March 2019 and won the Semi-Finalist title, also Mr M.S. Suhas received ‘Best Male Speaker’ Award.

14. Mr Harshad S Jain, Miss S. Prajwala and Miss U. R. Shivashree of VI Semester B.A., LL.B participated in the International Law Moot organized and held at KSLU, Hubballi during 16th and 17th March 2019.

15. Mr Srisha Chandra and Mr Saakin Harish of VIII Semester B.B.A., LL.B and Miss Christine Swayamprabha Nathaian – X Semester B.B.A., LL.B participated in the NMIMS K.P. Mehta School of Law 3rd International Moot Court Competition at Mumbai during 15th to 17th March 2019.

16. Mr Basana Gouda – VIII Semester B.B.A., LL.B, Miss M.R. Pruiyanka and Miss Sunitha Abhirami of IV Semester B.B.A., LL.B participated in the National Moot Court Competition organised by Al Ameen College of Law, Bengaluru during 15th to 17th March 2019.

17. Mr Daein – X Semester B.B.A., LL.B, Miss Sitara Ayanna and Miss Kowkrady Alampu of VIII Semester B.A., LL.B participated and won second place in Prof R.V. Dhanapalan 1st National Moot organised and held at Central Law College, Salem during 15th to 17th March 2019

18. Mr K. Ashwin and Miss Suranya Surendaran of VIII Semester B.B.A., LL.B and Miss S. Sowndarya – IV Semester B.B.A., LL.B participated in BMS Memorial 4th National Moot Court Competition at BMS Law College, Benagaluru during 28th to 30th March 2019 and qualified up to Semi-finalists.

19. Miss A. Ashwini Bhat – VI Semester B.B.A., LL.B, Miss U. Surabhi - VI Semester B.A., LL.B and Miss Sumaiya – IV Semester B.A., LL.B participated in the National Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition 2019, jointly organised by Surana and Surana International Attorneys and KLE Law College, Bengaluru, held at KLE Law College, Bengaluru between 29.03.19 and 31.03.19.

20. Miss S. Shefali and Miss T. M. Zoya Farheen of VIII Semester B.A., LL.B and Missi U Tanuja – II Semester B.B.A., LL.B participated in the Shri N J Yasaswy 4th Memorial National Moot Court Competition 2019 organised by ICFAI Law School at Hyderabad during 28th to 31st March 2019

Special Lectures organized 1. On 14.08.2018 the Post Graduate Department of Law, JSSLC, organised an awareness

programme on ‘Financial Markets’ in association with Mysuru Branch SIRC of Institute

of Chartered Accountants of India. Sri Kunal Dalmiya, Manager – Business Development, NSEI, Bangalore was the key speaker and other guests were (CA) B.N. Chandrashekar, Chairman and Chartered Accountant – ICAI (Mysuru Chapter) and (CA) S.A.Vasudev Rao, Secretary – ICAI (Mysuru Chapter). The Principal, Chariman PG Department, Faculty members and students were present.

2. Smt. Swapna Jangama Shetty and Smt. M S Nandini had organised a Guest Lecture on “English and Communication Skills” for the students of I year B.A and B.B.A., LL.B on 31st October 2018 at Silver Jubilee Hall. Smt Tumpa Dutta Gupta, Owner and Founder of Green Winges Pre-School Educational Network, Mysuru was the guest speaker.

3. A Special lecture on ‘Generic Drugs’ was arranged under IQAC by the course teacher Dr. S. Nataraju for the students of V Semester B.A., & B.B.A., LL.B (Public Health Law) on 13.11.2018. The guest speaker was Dr M.P.Venkatesh, Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutics, J.S.S. College of Pharmacy, Mysuru. Nearly 98 students and faculty members were present.

4. A Special Lecture on “Justice H R Khanna – The Immortal Judge” was arranged under IQAC by Prof. M P Nagendramurthy for all the students on 12.01.2019. The key speaker was Sri. K. Arvind Kamath, Senior Advocate, High Court of Karnataka & Alumni. At the end Sri. K. Arvind Kamath was Felicitated by the College on being designated as Senior Advocate by the High Court of the Karnataka.

5. A special Lecture on “Cooperative Federalism of the Indian Constitution” by Dr H.M Rajashekar, Retired Professor of Political Science, University of Mysore was arranged on 28.02.19 and organised by the Course Teacher Dr S. Nataraju and Prof M. Basavaraju for students of II Semester LL.B & IV Semester B.A & B.B.A., LL.B.

6. A special lecture on ‘Budgetary Processing in India’ was organised by the course teacher Prof M.M. Prabhuswamy for the target groups of II Semester B.A., LL.B and IV Semester B.A., LL.B on 01.03.19. Dr M. Indira, Professor and Chairman of Economics and Cooperation Department, University of Mysore, Mysore delivered the special lecture.

7. Special Lecture series was arranged by the Course Teachers Prof K.S. Suresh and Prof M.P. Nagendra Murthy on the Arbitration Act and Indian Evidence Act on 02.03.19 for Final year students, the special lectures were delivered by Sri Ishwar Antin and Sri S. R. Somashekar – Retired District Judges

Workshops/Seminars/Conferences /Training program organized 1. Two day Workshop on “Preparation of Individual Care Plan under Juvenile Justice Act”

was organised by J.S.S Law College in association with the Department of Women and Child, Government of Karnataka, District Administration on 18.09.2018 and 19.09.2018 in which nearly 63 NGOs and 110 participants from various NGOs in Mysuru participated and obtained training.

2. On 18.09.2018 Training Programme was organised by the Co-ordinator Mr Chidanand and Dr B.P. Mahesh on Manupatra Database at the Silver Jubliee Hall. Mr. Chandrashekar Patil was the resource person from Manupatra Information Solution

3. The workshop on Consumer Law – Issues and concerns was held on 4th October 2018 at Silver Jubilee Hall. Sri H.M. Shivakumara Swamy, President, Mysuru District Consumer Redressal Forum, Mysuru, Sri. Thimmarayappa, Assistant Controller, Department of Legal Metrology and Sri Y.G. Muralidharan, Founder – Trustee, CREAT, Bengaluru were the Guests of Honour, Prof K.S. Suresh presided, Prof M.M. Prabhswamy, staff and nearly 186 students were present. On the same day an exhibition was arranged by the Department of Legal Metrology.

4. Research Group Organ had conducted a Workshop on “Exploration, Contemplation and Insinuation of Legal Research” on 13.10.18 at Silver Jubilee Hall. The workshop comprised of two technical sessions. The workshop was inaugurated by Prof (Dr) P. Ishwara Bhat, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, KSLU, Hubballi. The first technical session was handled by Prof (Dr) P. Ishwara Bhat, who spoke on ‘Legal Research Methods’. The second technical session was conducted by Dr D.S. Guru, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Co-ordinator IQAC, Director – Distance Education, University of Mysore, Mysuru, spoke on ‘Legal and Research in Digital Age’.

5. Two Day National Conference on “Multi-Dimensional Approach to Criminal Justice System in India” was organised by the college on 14th and 15th November, 2018. Hon’ble Judge Sri S.R. Bannurmath, Former Chief Justice of High Court of Kerala, Sri I.A. Antin, District Judge (R), Sri Mohan Sripad Sankoli, District Judge (R), Sri S.R. Somashekhar, District Judge (R) were the Chief Guests, the programme was presided by Prof K.S. Suresh, Chief Executive. Dr S. Nataraju, Principal, Co-ordinators Prof M.P. Nagendra Murthy, Smt M.C. Usha Rani and Dr B.P.Mahesha and other staff members were present. The formal programme began with an invocation song by students, Dr S. Nataraju welcomed the gathering, and then the programme was inaugurated through lighting the lamp by the dignitaries on the Dias. It was followed by key note address by the Chief Guest Hon’ble Justice S. R. Bannurmath, Retired Chief Justice of Kerala. Further followed by presidential remark by Prof K.S. Suresh and finally vote of thanks was rendered by Prof M.P. Nagendra Murthy.

6. Half day Workshop on Examination was conducted for the first year students on 27th November 2018. Prof. K S Suresh addressed the students regarding the examination pattern and regulations. Prof P Shivananda Bharathi, Controller of Examinations & other staff members were present.

MYCAB & ROTRACT Activities 1. Model United Nation Conference was organised by MYCAB, Cultural Club and Research

2. On 05.09.2018 Rotaract Club of JSS Law College, organised ‘Gratuliere 2018’ to felicitate teachers’ on Teachers’ Day.

Rotaract Installation Programmes was organised on 06.09.2018 at the Silver Jubliee Hall, the following members Rtr.PHF M.K.Nanjaiah, Installing Officer, Chief Guest Rtr Manjesh Urs, Rtn Rajshekar Murthy, Rtr PHF Mallaraja Urs, Rtr PHF Prabhakar.P, Rtr PHF Dr.S.H.Jagadesh, Rtr PHF Virupaksha, Rtn Darshan C.Yand Rtn Gagan Shetty H.P (President 2018-19)and Prof M.M.Prabhuswamy, Principal JSS Law College were present. The programme began with an invocation and blessings of Almighty by Rtn C.Y Darshan followed by Welcoming the Guest and Inagural through watering the plant. Rtn Arjun Uniikrishan, Secretary read the report of 2017-18. Followed by brief introduction of Rtn PHF M. K Nanjaiah, then Collaring event of President Rtn H.P. Gagan Shetty took place. The new president took over the dias and introduced the office bearers of Rotaract Club 2018-19 and gave the acceptnce speech. Later, all the members took oath administered by Rtn V. Manjesh. After speech by the dignitaries, the programme ended with Vote of Thanks by Rtr Rishika S. Palaksha.

4. Rotaract Club of JSS Law College on 12.09.2018 initiated a project in view of Eco Friendly Ganapathi Celebrations for pollution free environment, Ganapathi idols made of clay was distributed to low income families. The project was inaugurated by Mysuru’s KR Constituency MLA Sri S.A. Ramdas along with the Corporator Sri B.V. Manjunath.

5. On 01.10.18 Blood Donation Camp was organised by Rotaract Club of the college in association with JSS Hospital and HDFC Bank at Silver Jubilee Hall signifying the importance of blood donation. Sri Shreekar, Manager – HDFC, Sri Guruswamy, Medical Superintendent, Dr Pallavi, Blood Bank Officer, Prof K. S. Suresh, Chief Executive, Prof M.M.Prabhuswamy, Principal, Prof M.P. Nagendra Murthy, Co-ordinator – Rotaract Club were present. Nearly fifty members donated blood and 80 units of blood were collected.

6. Rotaract Club of the college visited an old age home as part of Diwali Project on 10.11.18 where the students interacted with the inmates, lighted 160 lamps and served them food.

7. In view of Consumer Rights Day, a Legal Awareness programme was organised and conducted by Mysuru District Legal Services Authority in association with JSS Law College on 15.03.19. The programme was inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri S.K. Vontigodi, Principal District and Sessions Judge and President, District Legal Services Authority, Mysuru. The chief guest of the event was Hon’ble Sri B.P. Devamane, Senior Civil Judge and Member Secretary, District Legal Services Authority; programme was presided by

8. Miss H. S. Shreya – II Semester B.A., LL.B participated in the swimming competition organized by AIRA Meet by Rotaract, Mysuru on 16.03.19 at Chamundi Vihara Swimming Pool and secured places and cash prizes – 1st place in Freestyle swimming (Cash prize – Rs. 3,000/-), 1st place in Breaststroke (Cash prize – Rs. 3,000/-) and 2nd place in Backstroke (Cash prize – Rs. 2,000/-).

Research Group- ORGAN 1. Research Organ Group – Annual meeting was convened by Smt P.Ashwini, Co-ordinator

on 05.09.2018 to discuss the proposal to be executed for the academic year 2018-19. 2. Research Group - ORGAN organised a Special Lecture on “Work Life Balance in Legal

Professionals” on 27.09.2018 at Silver Jubilee Hall by Sri M.T. Arasu, Founder and Managing Director – Career Prime Solutions, who addressed nearly 200 students. Principal, Co-ordinator and Faculty members were also present. Students and staff were highly inspired by his practical ideas, reasons for stress and imbalances in life including influence of one’s perceptions, media influence as a source of negative energy and so on. Further the audience were motivated with his quotes to bring work-life balance, significantly - ‘Behave like lawyer today, tomorrow you will be a lawyer’ and ‘Love your work – you will love your life’.

3. Research Organ Group had conducted an Essay Competition on the topic titled ‘Implications of Decriminalising Section 377 of IPC – A Comparative Study’ on 17.10.18. Miss Shama, I Semester BBA, LL.B secured first place, Miss Pavithra, III semester BBA, LL.B secured second place and Miss Vismaya, I Semester BBA,LL.B secured third place.

4. Research ORGAN organised a survey on cyber violence on 16.11.18 conducted by IT for Change, an NGO that works at the intersection of digital technologies and social change, with a specific focus on social justice and gender equality. Nearly 95 girl students of fourth and final year (age between 18 and 23 years) participated in the survey.

Cultural Club 1. On 14.08.2018 the Cultural Club organised various competitions in view of the 72nd

Independence day celebrations such as - a) Debate competition: Topic - “Freedom of speech and expression: A boon or a bane” with 10 participants. b) Quiz competition: Theme - ‘Freedom Movement’ (27 teams participated with 2 participants per team) and c) Essay Competition: Topic – “Indian Freedom Movement” with 15 participants.

2. On 21.08.2018 – National Agenda Forum and JSSLC Cultural Club conducted an awareness programme to mobilise the citizens of India for four key action points through online voting.

3. On 11.09.2018 SATANISTA’18 Fresher’s Day was held in the college organised by the college and pre final year students with a view to welcome and interact with Fresher’s

Various rounds of informal competitions were held to encourage participation from Freshers’ and at the end awards were declared and the following students won the respective awards Best Dressed Male – Mr Antony, I Semester LL.B, Best Dressed Female – Miss Swati Ganesh, I Semester BBA., LL.B, Mr. Black Coat – Mr Arjun Hebbar and Miss. Black Coat – Miss Agnus Jennifer I Semester LL.B.

4. KSLU Youth Festival – Bangalore Zone was held during 12th and 13th of October 2018, organised by Vidhyavardhaka Law College, Mysuru, following are the details of the students of our college who had participated and won prizes in various cultural events: Mr Aditya Deshpande won first prize in Cartooning, Miss Neerja Rajesh won first prize in Debate, Miss M Aswini won first prize in Spot Painting, Mr Thapa Shreshta secured third place in Elocution, Miss D. Vaishnavi secured third place in Light Music, Mr Mohammed Jaseer and team won first prize in Skit, Miss Srimathi Kannan participated in Classical Music and Miss Vinutha participated in Rangoli.

5. Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated in our college on 17th November, 2018. Sri Anke Gowda, ‘Rajyotsava Awardee’ was the Chief Guest. He has created national record, recognised by Limca Book of Records for the largest collection of 10 lakhs books for the past 33 years and maintaining ‘book house’ fondly known as ‘Ankegowda Jnana Pratishthana Pustaka Mane’ with books in 8-10 different languages in different genres. The Chief Guest enlightened the audience on significance of Kannada Rajyotsava, language, books and so on with practical and simple illustrations. The programme was presided over by Dr S. Nataraju and Prof M.P. Nagendra Murthy was present. Staff members and students took part in the celebration. The programme was followed by cultural events and distribution of sweets by the students.

6. Ethnic Day Celebrations was held on 30.03.19 organised by 3rd Year students. Students and faculty members wore ethnic outfits depicting their culture and traditions. Various cultural events were organised to show case their traditions and finally Miss Ethnic and Mr Ethnic titles were given to the students for their best ethnic outfits.

4. Sri A.T. Jagadish, Co-ordinator - Placement Cell organised a programme in association with Career Launcher in which Smt Geetha Sha, Manager shared the possible opportunities abroad to carry forward legal education addressing Pre-final year students on 07.03.19.

14. On 18.09.018 the Green Guides Wing of JSS Law College adopted “Green Anaconda” of Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Park, Mysuru for a period of one year from 18.09.2018 to 17.09.2019 on payment of Rs. 10,000/- under the Animal Adoption Scheme.

15. On account of ‘World Animal Welfare Day’ on 4.10.18 and ‘World Wildlife Week’ celebrations from 1.10.18 to 7.10.18 the Green Guides Wing of our college distributed Animal Feed and Stalks to the Ghoshala at PINJRAPOLE. Dr N. Vanishree, Co-ordinator and members of the Green Guides visited and distributed the same.

16. The Annual Trekking Expedition was organised by the Green Guides Wing of our College to Chikkamangaluru, Near Mudigere from 02.02.19 to 03.02.19. Around 40 students of our college took part in the trekking programme and the students were accompanied by Sri Suresh Kumar, Physical Education Director.

22. Our College Athletics Team participated in Karnataka State Law University Inter Collegiate Athletic Meet held at Dharwad on 27th & 28th February 2019. The College Team secured 3 - First Place, 2 - Second Place, 2 - Third Place, 2 - Fourth Place and was awarded Runner up position in Women Team Championship. The Participants and winners are Mr M.B. Ponnanna - I Place in High Jump and IV Place in Shot put Throw, Miss Yogitha B. Raj - I Place in 4x100 mtrs (Relay) and III Place in Long Jump, Miss R. Sushmitha - I Place in 4x100 mtrs (Relay), II Place in 100mtrs running race and II Place in 200mtrs running race, Miss A. F. Yashmeen Shafia - I Place in 4x100 mtrs (Relay) and I Place in High Jump, Miss M. C. Rashmi - I Place in 4x100 mtrs (Relay), Miss H.S. Shreya - III Place in Shot put Throw and IV Place in Javelin Throw.

23. Miss H. S. Shreya – II Semester B.A., LL.B participated in the swimming competition organized by AIR Meet by Rotaract, Mysuru on 16.03.19 at Chamundi Vihara Swimming Pool and secured places and cash prizes – 1st place in Freestyle swimming (Cash prize – Rs. 3,000/-), 1st place in Breaststroke (Cash prize – Rs. 3,000/-) and 2nd place in Backstroke (Cash prize – Rs. 2,000/-).

24. Our College Throw Ball Team secured First Place and Tennikoit Team secured second place in Karnataka State Law University Inter Collegiate Throw Ball and Tennikoit Tournament held at SDM Law College, Mangalore on 8.03.19 and 9.03.19. Throwball Team participants are Miss Sitara Ayanna, Miss C.N. Ramya, Miss GoraNani, Miss M. Anusha, Miss D. J. Nireeksha, Miss M.C. Rashmi, Miss N. Pavithra, Miss S. Prajwala, Miss H.S. Shreya, Miss M. Sushmitha. The Tennikoit Team participants are Miss C. N. Ramya, Miss R. Sushmitha, Miss Sitara Ayanna, Miss Goranani and Miss S. Prajwala. Miss C.N. Ramya was awarded ‘Best Thrower’ in Throw Ball and ‘Best Smasher’ in Tennikoit, Miss M. Anusha was awarded Best Receiver in Throw Ball.

25. Our College organized Mysuru District Level SEPTEM Kabaddi Tournament 2018-19 on 15.03.19 in the Sri Bandanthamma and Sri Kalamma Temple field, Kuvempunagar, Mysuru. Nearly 12 teams from various educational institutions in Mysuru District participated in it. The programme was inaugurated by Sri ShivaKumar, MLC and Vice

Final round was between Team A – Maharaja First Grade College, Mysuru, Department of Science in Physical Education and Sports and Team B – Mahajana First Grade College, Mysure, Department of Science in Physical Education and Sports. Mahajana First Grade College, Mysuru, Department of Science in Physical Education and Sports won the tournament. Followed by Prize distribution by Sri Balu, Secretary Sri Bandanthamma and Sri Kalamma Temple Trust and Sri Arun, Alumni cum KSLU Kabbadi team captain, Presided by Dr S. Nataraju and Sri Suresh Kumar was present. The winning team secured the Trophy and Cash prize of Rs. 10, 000/-. The runners up team won the Trophy and Cash prize of Rs. 7,000/-.

On 08.09.2018 – Symposium on Decoding Corporate Compliance India 2018 was jointly organised by ICSI – Mysuru Chapter and JSS Law College and CII Yi Young Indian Mysuru Chapter at Hotel Quorum, Mysuru in which Sri S.K. Vantigodi, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Mysuru was the Chief Guest and Prof K.S. Suresh was the Guest of Honour. Sri. S.P. Mathew, Practising Advocate from Bombay High Court delivered the

4. Yi-YUVA (Young India) and students of our college conducted Traffic Rules Awareness Drive on 07.-3.19 by involving with City Traffic Police, Kuvempunagar, near Apollo Hospital Circle, Mysuru.

5. Yi-YUVA and JSS Law College had organised a Special Lecture on ‘Regultory Law in Pharmaceuticals – A Career Options for Lawyers’, on 22.03.19 by Smt Sumati Randeo, Advisor to WHO (India). Smt Smita Tom, Chair, Yi-YUVA, Dr S. Nataraju and Sri A.T. Jagdish were present.

Other Activities 1. On 15.08.2018 – 72nd Independence Day was celebrated in the College. Prof M.S.

Venugopal was the Chief Guest and Prof M.M..Prabhuswamy, Principal presided the programme. After the Flag Hoisting, the programme was followed by cultural events organised by the cultural club of the college. Nearly 200 students participated the celebrations.

2. On 16.08.2018 Prof Poornima, Retired Professor, KSOU and team performed a drama ‘Stage Chemistry: Neuro Psychiatric Disorder on Stage’ in the Silver Jubilee Hall. Staff and students of Ist year LL.B, B.A/B.B.A LLB attended the drama (approximately 170 students).

3. His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji’s Jayanthi was observed in the college on 01.09.2018.

4. On 06.09.2018 Prof K.S. Suresh, the Chief Executive visited Kerala and handed over the JSS Mahavidyapeetha - Flood Relief Cheque of Rs. 10,00,000 to the in-charge Chief Minister of Kerala.

5. On 5.09.2018 an awareness programme on Competitive Examinations was arranged by Dr B.P. Mahesh and conducted by the Indian Civil Service Training Academy, Mysuru in which nearly 500 students were benefited.

6. Gandhi Jayanthi Celebrations were held at the college premises on 2.10.18 in commemoration of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and also the initiative of Hon’ble Prime Minister ‘Swachhta Hi Seva – 2018’. Prof M.P. Nagendramurthy, Co-ordinator, NSS and Dr N. Vani Shree, Co-ordinator NCC guided almost 350 students along with staff in conducting a Jatha covering Kuvempunagar area.

7. Dr B.P. Mahesha, organised civil services entrance test for National Talent Search Programme in association with Indian Civil Services Training Academy, Kuvempunagar, Mysuru on 05.10.18 at 3.45 pm to 4.45pm and 62 students took up the test.

8. On 27.11.18 ‘Law Day’ was celebrated in the college to mark the significance of the day on which the Constitution was adopted (26.11.1949). Honourable Judge Smt Vanamala Anandarao Yadav, Principal Family Court, Mysuru was the Chief Guest and the programme was presided by Prof K. S. Suresh, Chief Executive. Dr S. Nataraju, Principal and other staff members were present.

9. National Voters’ Day was observed in the college on 25.01.19 and the Voters’ Day Oath was administered by Dr S. Nataraju, Principal to the staff and students in a special assembly. The Principal highlighted the significance of the National Voter’s Day and spoke on the Voters’ Rights to encourage more young voters. Miss Anvitha, IV Semester LL.B and Miss Pavani Randeo, VI Semester B.B.A., LL.B spoke on the significance of Voter’s Day and the Voters’ Rights.

10. Republic Day Celebrations was observed in the college on 26.01.19. Dr Midatala Rani, Professor and Director of UGC-HRDC, Mysuru was the Chief Guest of the celebrations. The celebrations commenced with the hoisting of Flag by the Chief Guest, followed by singing of National Anthem and Flag song. After the Chief Guests speech, cultural events followed with a theme depicting the culture of various States of the country. Students of IV Semester LL.B and Cultural Club were the organisers of the Republic Day celebrations. Finally sweets were distributed to staff and students of the college.

11. In adherence to the instruction of the Election Literacy Club and Regional Joint Director Office, Mysuru, our College conducted the Election Awareness Rally (Jatha) on 15.02.19 at 9.30am, in which the Principal, Staff and Students participated. The rally commenced from the college campus took the route of Vijaya Bank Circe, AtoZ, Adhichinchingiri Road (Appollo Hospital) and then returned back to college and during the procession various election awareness slogans were raised along with public interaction.

12. Smt S. Poornima and Smt P. Ashwini co-ordinated in conducting International Womens’ Day on 09.03.19. Mysuru city Corporation Commissioner Smt Shilpa Nag was the Chief Guest of the occasion and ‘Lady Bhageeratha’ Smt Gowri C Nayak was felicitated on this occasion. Smt Shilpa Nag, Commissioner, Mysuru City Corporation was welcomed by the faculty and the girl students from the college entrance by forming a human chain to signify women empowerment and unity. Prof K.S. Suresh, Chief Executive addressed the gathering in his welcome speech during the formal programme. Subsequently, Smt P. Ashwini and Smt S. Poornima, gave a brief introduction about the two special Chief Guests, being versatile personalities and women achievers Smt Shilpa Nag and Gowri Chandrasekhar Nayak.

Gowri Chandrashekar Nayak known as ‘Lady Bhagiratha’ as she dug a 75 feet well by herself at the age of 51 to solve the water issues of farmers in her neighbourhood was felicitated by Smt Shilpa Nag and College, following which Smt Shilpa Nag, was also felicitated on the occasion. Addressing the students, Gowri Chandrashekar Nayak said the well is her God, but she did not see it as a big task. She said humbly, ‘I dug the well with an intention of solving the water crisis in my farm. I did not see it as a big feat’. She was in news for digging the well by herself within three months. The well became a source of water for many farmers in the neighbourhood.

In her acceptance speech, Smt Shilpa Nag said women are also human beings with flaws and should not be placed on the pedestal. ‘Women are expected to look good, be smart and fit and perform well at the same time. We have to face so many expectations. What everyone should realise is that we are also humans with flaws and weaknesses’

she said. She said before expecting women to contribute equally to the society, duties like childcare, parenting and domestic chores should be equally shared between both genders. However, she pointed out that a change is happening and now men have also started sharing household works, especially in metros. Highlighting poor political representation of women, the MCC commissioner said, ‘equal representation in politics is necessity, as policy and decision making is done by politicians. Also iterated that, however, in India, women’s representation is close to 19% this should be changed and women’s representation in politics should be 50% in line with the share of the population.

In her concluding remarks the chief guest reiterated the 2019 International Women’s Day theme – ‘Balance for Better at Workplace’ (meant to promote gender equality at the workplace). Further quoted ‘Lead Thyself, Love Thyself and Respect Thyself’ and mentioned that ‘The world is ready for you but are you ready for it’. After the formal programme, thematic cultural events began comprising of dance, group song, skit and games to students and female faculty members

13. Programme on Eco Friendly Lifestyle by Prof V. Jagannatha followed by Demonstration on Eco-friendly Hand Made Paper Making (through recycling) by Shri Lakshman Rao Pawar was arranged to benefit both Staff and Students of the college on 14.03.19.

Bindu, I Semester participated in the 19th Youth Parliament Session – National Level held at J.N.V Kodagu as Clean Ganga Incharge Minister and won II prize (She received the prize from Agricultural Minister Ahluwalia at the Parliament House Delhi during August 2018).

Jhanavi, Miss Bhagyapriya, Miss Bhuvana Nagraj, Miss Poonam Poovaiah, Miss Navyashree, Miss Yuktha Hegde, Miss Veda Shree, Miss Veni Shree, Miss L. Vinutha, Miss Shubangi, Miss Yashaswini, Mr Aniket Patil, Mr V Rohith, Mr P .M. Jayanth, Mr Yashwanth, Mr Ujwal Jain, are the students of JSSLC who have appeared and cleared Company Secretary Foundation Course examinations held during July and the results declared during August 2018.

3. During 2nd and 3rd August 2018 Mr Trishul, Mr H. M. Nagendra Kumar and Mr Shanmukaiah of III Semester B.A., LL.B, participated in the Model Assembly Competition held at KSLU, Hubballi and Mr Trishul won the Best Parliamentarian Prize (8th Place).

4. During 13th and 14th August 2018 Miss Sumaiya, III Semester B.A.,LL.B presented paper on ‘Issues and challenges pertaining to the CSR and the tribal development’ in the two day National Conference on ‘Tribal Development and CSR: Issues and Perspectives’ funded by anthropological survey of India, Kolkata held at Basudev Somani College, Mysuru.

5. Miss Litunya Sharon, V Semester B.A., LLB participated in a two day International Conference on Leadership organised by Dove International at Sri Sathya Sai Hotel, Vizag, Andra Pradesh during 22nd to 24th August 2018.

7. Ms J. Keerthana, III Semester LL.M won the prize in the competition on Case Comments organised by Library on 06.09.2018.

During 12.09.2018 Mr Mahadev Gowda and Mr Rajesh of V Semester B.A., LL.B participated in Law Students Debate Competition held at Karnataka Vidhyavartaka Sangh, Dharwad on the topic “Makkala Dhourjanya Aparadhagalige Marana Dhandane Sookthave?” and in which Mr Mahadev Gowda secured Third place and won cash prize of Rs. 500/-.

9. KSLU Youth Festival – Bangalore Zone was held during 12th and 13th of October 2018, organised by Vidhyavardhaka Law College, Mysuru, following are the details of the students of our college who had participated and won prizes in various cultural events: Mr Aditya Deshpande won first prize in Cartooning, Miss Neerja Rajesh won first prize in Debate, Miss M Aswini won first prize in Spot Painting, Mr Thapa Shreshta secured third place in Elocution, Miss D. Vaishnavi secured third place in Light Music, Mr Mohammed Jaseer and team won first prize in Skit, Miss Srimathi Kannan participated in Classical Music and Miss Vinutha participated in Rangoli.

10. Research Organ Group had conducted an Essay Competition on the topic titled ‘Implications of Decriminalising Section 377 of IPC – A Comparative Study’ on 17.10.18. Miss Shama, I Semester BBA, LL.B secured first place, Miss Pavithra, III semester BBA, LL.B secured second place and Miss Vismaya, I Semester BBA,LL.B secured third place.

11. National Law School of India University, Bengaluru & Directorate of Municipal Administration, Government of Karnataka organised the Two Day National Seminar on “Smart Laws For Smart Cities Agenda For Reform, Consolidation And Codification” held on the 29th and 30th October, 2018 at National Law School of India University, Bengaluru and in which JSS Law College was an institutional partner. The following staff and students participated and presented paper in it. Miss Meemansa Singh, Mr Shravan, Mr Venkatesh Pandey, Miss Bhargavi M, Miss Hazellyne Tariang, Miss Pavithra, Miss C. Rashmi, Mr Arjun Unnikrishnan, Mr Mohammed Jaseer, Miss Rishika A Jain, Mr M. Suhas, Miss Rishika Palaksha, Mr V. Sampreeth and Miss Chaithra are the students from our college who participated and presented papers in it.

12. Inter-Group Competition (IGC) Camp was held during 1st to 10th November 2018 at Christ College, Bengaluru in which Miss Surabhi – III Semester B.A, LL.B and and Miss Payal, Miss Supritha and Mr Santhosh of III Semester B.B.A, LL.B attended the camp.

13. Miss M. 20. Mr Mahavdev K Gowda of V Semester B.A.,LL.B and Mr Shrisha Chandra of VII Semester B.B.A.,LL.B secured first place and Mr V. Sampreeth of VII Semester B.B.A.,LL.B and Mr Thapo Shreshta of I Semester LL.B secured second place in the qualifying round of quiz competition conducted on 19.11.18 among ten team which participated. The winners of the quiz competition would be representing the college at the State Level Quiz Competition.
