SUMMARYLethal yellowing, a disease caused by a micoplasm, has greatly damaged coconut plantations in the Caribbean. Mexico most likely will be affected soon. This article describes the early simptoms that coconut growers in Mexico should be aware of, monitoring the crop, and presents alternatives to prevent the spread of the disease.
