keep the lines of communication open at

by letting us know if there is ever any
change in your contact information.
This includes, but is not limited to,
email address, phone number, and
mailing address. In addition, if you ever
need to add or remove any Emergency

CONTACT INFORMATION
Morning Drop Off
Please remember that students are allowed to enter the building at 7:15am. Our
priority is student safety while unloading all vehicles. For the
safety of all students please :
Do not pass any vehicles
Stay off your cell phone
Be patient and kind
Afternoon Pick Up
Please remember to have your child’s school issued car tag when picking up in the
afternoon. By properly displaying this tag, it ensures that students are safe and
the car rider line will move smoothly. If we have to stop and ask for your number
or type the student’s name, it slows down this process. The school issued tags are
also a security measure we have put into place at our school. If you are in need of
a new car tag, please contact the school office. There will be a fee of $5.00 for a set
of 2 tags.

Leader In Me News...
March Newsletter
Readers are Leaders! By: John and Jane Covey
Every year we join in this month long celebration designed to encourage reading as a
fun activity for the whole family. Reading, and understanding what you read, is a skill that everyone needs to be successful. The best way to improve understanding is to read a lot. There is nothing like a challenging book to lift you up or take you to
another world. Developing a love of reading will be an asset to your child in all areas of school and give him/her a jumpstart to a lifetime of reading! Below is a list of books that your child will enjoy while also reinforcing the 7 Habits at home. Addi-
tional suggestions can be found at The Leader in Me Online.
Lower elementary (PK-3) Read the book together. Ask your child questions about how the characters used the habits.
Upper elementary (4-5) Your child reads the book to you. Ask questions about how your child uses the habit.

For the month of February, Little Mountain Elementary,
carefully selected students for Habit # 4 – Think Win Win.
Throughout the month, the faculty, staff, and students
stayed committed to their goals and worked hard daily to
achieve established milestones and selected goals. For the
students of LME, their belief is that everyone can win
inside and outside of the classroom. We have a balance of
courage for getting what the individual student wants
while considering what other students may want as well.
We encourage students to make deposits into their peers’
emotional bank accounts every day. By thinking of others,
problem solving, and remembering to negotiate with
classmates, students display a true bucket filling attitude.
We are very proud to recognize these students as
Pawmetto’s Finest at Little Mountain Elementary.
